sorry i keep talking about this but genuine question am i crazy for thinking that this holiday he's on is borderline unacceptable when i didn't have too much of a problem with the one he took last year? bc last year they went camping in some town in tuscany which is like. okay fine i'm not missing some big experience i'm just missing the campsite pool lol who cares plus that's such a friend holiday. but this year he's touring a whole fucking country and sending me amazing pictures of all the landscapes and shit and that's like. something he should wanna do with me if he loves me otherwise why the fuck are we even together. this man wants to design a whole apartment with me but doesn't care enough to allow me to go on a holiday in croatia, especially knowing that me not going means i won't go anywhere at all for a very long time? i'm sorry but my brain can't even begin to understand let alone accept that

aether doesn’t vividly recall the moment his feelings blossomed. there was no pinpointed moment, only all of it growing restless inside him.
he likes to keep his team to four people maximum, oftentimes none at all—just him and paimon to worry about as they move from region to region, friends made yet no proper strings attached. it’s for everyone’s sake, as aether doesn’t plan on staying too long in one place. that’s how it should’ve been.
you appeared one day, demanding to take you in his team. just for liyue and then you can separate ways, you said.
“i’m visiting my awfully quiet lover to break his silence. i need to figure out why i’ve stopped receiving letters,” you explained, blinding him with your bigger-than-life personality.
and because aether is a weak, weak man to people who don’t know how to back down, he agreed, albeit hesitantly. “alright,” he said in defeat. “just liyue?”
“just liyue,” you affirmed, beaming as he’s accepted you probably easier than you expected.
just liyue is a lie, and he should’ve known it the moment he had to confirm it. he didn’t bother with formal introductions and keeping conversations, knowing he wouldn’t see you again anyway. it didn’t help that paimon adores you, expressing her loud disappointment when you have to part ways with them.
paimon floated lower than usual. aether sighed. “should’ve known you’d grow to love someone who spoils you with sweet madame more than me.”
“hmph! y/n’s nicer to paimon than you!”
but he does see you again some time later, facing a large tree, kicking it out of frustration. it’s pouring heavily; your clothes are soaked.
“am i scary?” you asked when aether and paimon approached you, staring ahead, fists trembling.
“what’s wrong?! did something bad happen?” paimon fluttered around you nervously, unsure if she could touch you.
“he’s not dead, at least,” you said bitterly. “just too cowardly to tell me that he doesn’t love me anymore. i suppose it was better breaking up face-to-face than through letters.” you sighed bitterly, shoulders hiked up to your ears as a fresh wave of quiet tears washed over you, muted by the rain. “this is embarrassing, getting dumped because i was too much.”
“it’s not. you came all the way from mondstadt just to see him. didn’t he at least care about that?” aether asked, which might’ve just been his longest sentence yet. why were you out here soaking? if it were him, he wouldn’t have been so rude to leave you astray during a thunderstorm.
“i can’t force him, if he doesn’t want to see me. i’ll be alright, i promise.” you rest your forehead against the bark of the tree, water sliding off your cheeks—aether isn’t sure if it’s the rain or your tears.
he understands, possibly more than anyone.
and aether—still a weak, weak man when it came to people breaking down in front of him, knowing what it’s like to lose someone so dear to you—gently says, “xiangling told us there’s an event holding place here later. you’re coming with us.”
just liyue was already a warning in itself that it would never be just as that.
you weave yourself in his life as if you were always there, fitting in like you haven’t met him and paimon just a few days ago. he tries to convince himself that he’s doing this to cheer you up, but you’ve been making him smile more than they do to you.
he would turn to his side and see you feeding him a chicken-mushroom skewer after a short battle, insisting even when aether says he’s not as injured as you may think. he would turn to his side and see you and paimon laughing over something he missed and find himself grinning as well.
he would turn to his side when you tug on his sleeve, shyly asking if he’s willing to take you to inazuma as well because you didn’t want to stay in liyue if they weren’t here anymore.
“sure,” aether would say. he’s a weak man, and you were holding on to his cape, looking so adorable that aether wanted to melt on the spot. but that’s a normal reaction to cute things, probably.
taking you to inazuma turns into bringing you along to sumeru, then eventually fontaine, until everyone is convinced you’re a staple in aether’s adventures: aether, paimon, and y/n.
this is what it’s like to have a good team, aether persuades himself. a good team, a useful asset, aether reminds himself sternly as you slice a ruin cruiser off of existence with fierce anger in your eyes and a stick of tricolor dango in your mouth. you wave at him after, beaming, and his heart does something weird.
and now, when some of his friends suggest that he lays you off even just for a day so he can have three other people who work together seamlessly with him, he dismisses it quickly—without thinking. he already works best with you by his side. if they want to come along with him, they have to accept they’re coming along with you just as well.
“thanks for letting me join you,” you whisper one night, lying on the grass and watching the stars with him. you turn your head and meet his eyes, smiling softly.
“of course,” aether says. of course, because now he can’t imagine what it’s like to not have you with him. “i’m the only one who can handle how scary you are.”
you scoff, gently punching his arm as he laughs. “shut up, idiot. you know what i mean.”
i know, aether wants to say. but would that be too much? aether doesn’t want you to think he’s trying to replace someone important in your life this quickly.
you are scary. you’re terrifying him with all these unwanted feelings he doesn’t know what to do with. but aether wasn’t lying, either—he can handle fear just as well.
and now, as aether watches lyney grin and kiss the back of your palm, aether’s chest burns with something unpleasant, sitting in his stomach and urging him to take action. a rock under his shoe. he does not like it, not one bit.
“uhh,” paimon shifts nervously mid-air. “paimon thinks you should stop glaring daggers into lyney before he notices.”
“glaring daggers? i’m not glaring daggers,” aether hisses. his fingers are starting to ache with how painfully he’s clutching his sword. “no daggers here…” he curses as he watches you grow increasingly flustered.
the sight startles him. not your expression, not lyney’s clear provocation, but aether’s stance towards it.
“i thought we’re friends with lyney again?” paimon asks, terribly confused.
“the best of friends,” aether says, marching over to the scene. paimon makes a disbelieving noise.
lyney smirks knowingly as aether gently tugs on your arm. “oh,” lyney says, all sly, more of a fox than a cat, “i didn’t know you were already spoken for. i do apologize for the misunderstanding.”
you glance between an amused lyney and an irked aether, dazed. “i’m not…?”
“your jealous boyfriend says otherwise,” lyney snorts as aether bristles.
aether glares heatedly at lyney, even as the latter backs away with a smug grin. “y/n, let’s go. there’s nothing else to do here.” he’s being rude. he doesn’t care. his mind is blank—or maybe it’s running miles per minute, and he struggles to keep up.
and because you always listen to aether, you let him drag you off, nearly failing to wave goodbye to a chuckling lyney. lyney calls for paimon, distracting her as aether continues walking away from the scene.
you turn to aether, barely able to keep up with his hurried steps. “whoa, whoa, hey, aether—aether, are you okay? your face is so red.” you touch his cheek, and he crumbles. “aether.”
he halts, frowning at the ground. frustrated.
“aether, is there something wrong?”
that’s the thing. aether doesn’t know what’s wrong. he was content with watching you from afar—content with your stars slowly aligning with his as he stands back and watches it happen. he was content with not doing anything about it. but not doing anything about it would mean everyone else thinks you haven’t got aether wrapped around your finger.
“sorry,” aether says. to the painful beating of his heart, restless with unexplained fury. “i didn’t—”
“…idiot.” you always tell him that. you’re the only one who calls him that, but he knows that were they to try, he wouldn’t let it slide so easily. “it’s okay to admit you’re jealous. it’s cute.”
it is not lyney’s flirtations that tip aether over; it’s the sweet smile you give him, the gentleness of your gaze, and your face so close to aether’s that you and him share the same breath. what tips him over is all of it crashing down on him, as daunting as a fight, as abrupt as the beat of his heart:
oh. oh. is that it?
aether doesn’t vividly recall the moment you wormed your way in. maybe it was the moment you jumped down from a tree branch and scared the wits out of paimon, only to demand nervously he take you. maybe it was the moment he softens when your shoulders shake and rain pours relentlessly overhead. maybe it was the stab of jealousy seeing someone else try to steal you away from him when you so obviously belong to him as he belongs to you.
it doesn’t matter.
“i want you,” aether says, then blinks when you do a startled take. “no—no. i mean. i… like you. and i want you to stay. here. not with them. not anyone else.”
“stay right in front of you?”
“in front, beside—doesn’t matter.” aether grows weak, limp as he presses his forehead against yours. “i just want you.”
“okay,” you smile, tipping your chin to kiss his cheek. his heart soars. “that’s all i needed to hear.”

Something New
Alastor x GN!Reader
Kinktober 1: biting
Tw: Fluff, biting, Dom and sub dynamics, tentacles, dry humping, mentions of oral
Alastor had always been a perfect gentleman. Even though he was rarely horny himself he was happy to indulge you when he wasn't in the mood sometimes. His ruts could get extra rough and he tended to get really possessive and clingy around that time so he usually refused to even let you see him like that. You enjoyed how respectful he was. But sometimes you wished he'd be a little rougher
After all your initial crush on him started when he started out being mean to you. You at first were annoyed but something about it started to turn you on. Then over time you just developed an intense crush. And after his demeanor started to change you partly missed it. But you also enjoyed how much closer you were getting with him. He was being so much nicer than you were used to
Until one day he confessed his feelings and it caught you completely off guard. He asked to court you (which was really cute) and you said yes
You guys took things very slow and it took a while for you to even get physical. He apparently wasn't the most experienced when you started out
But now, he knew every spot that set you off. And he loved ravishing you. Kissing all the way up and down your body before reaching his destination and treating you like his favorite dessert. But you wondered if he was holding back. If there were things HE wanted that he never expressed. What about HIS pleasure. Even though he rarely was in the mood for sex himself, you couldn't help feel like there was more he enjoyed that he just was too afraid to bring up
Then one day you decided give him a little push. You were getting ready to have sex again. And you noticed his erection which meant he was aroused now as well. You saw it as the perfect time
"I was thinking..." You said playfully. "Whats going on in that beautiful head of yours?" He asked gazing into your eyes. You noticed a little hunger behind them which he usually hid well but being his partner for this long, you learned to recognize it. "Today we should try something new" you answered and you saw his eyes light up a little
"Ah, and what were you thinking we should try?" He asked eager for your response. You hesitated purposefully to build the tension. "I was thinking... YOU could decide" you smirked at him. He seemed taken back a bit by that. "What do you mean?"
"Alastor, today I want you to do WHATEVER YOU WANT to me. Even if it's something you're nervous about. I promise I will say so when something makes me uncomfortable" you assured him
"Are you sure this is what you want?" He carefully questioned. "Yes. I want you to indulge for once. Try something new. And maybe we will even learn something about each other" you explained
Alastor chuckled darkly "very well". A predatory look gleamed on his eyes. It made you weak I'm knees unlike you'd ever felt
"We can start now"
"Strip." Alastor commanded. You begin taking off your clothes, liking this already. "Slower" he said. So you did. He waited for you to be completely naked before he pounced on you trapping you on the bed pinned underneath him. Tentacles sprouted out holding your wrists and ankles. You gave a test tug and discovered they were tight but not painfully
He lowered himself down putting his weight on you before you felt his mouth on your skin. You thought he was going to kiss your neck until you felt intense sharp pain. He sank his teeth into your neck. He drew blood before he lapped it up. You cried out and he stopped and looked at you with concern. You gave him a small smile to show that it was ok and so continued and bit you again. He bit you the shoulder now. Then he moved down and bit your side underneath your arm. Then he bit your stomach in multiple spots. Each time drawing blood and each time licking off your skin.
You felt him getting harder against you through his pants. He started to grind and hump away at you while he sank his teeth into every inch of your body. His hips sped up. He went back up and sank his teeth into your shoulder one last time harder than any of his other bites and soiled his pants as you screamed in pain and little bit of pleasure
He sat back straddling your hips before he unbuckled taking out his cock which was harder than you'd seen it in a long time. Rock hard still even though he just came. Was this the kind of stuff that turned him on? He never told you. Why had he never told you?
He lowered himself before positioning his dick right between your legs. But he didn't go in right away. He hovered there for minute
You were so painfully aroused and even more so when you felt the tip of his cock teasing your hole. You whimpered and noticed his eyes filled with lust and sadistic glee. He was enjoying tormenting you and for some reason that reminded you of how everything started and it turned you on so bad
You felt him breach you entrance and go in slowly. But he looked at you like he was holding back. "Remember, you set the pace however you want" you panted out practically reading his mind and that's all the cue he needed to go barreling inside you back break speed and force
You cried out as your cry turned into a sensual moan. He kept up the pace. Brutal and enjoying every second of it. Since you had told him to indulge he chased his own release but that didn't stop you from cumming. He continued to drill into you through your orgasm and you were started to get overstimulated
He sped up faster and harder until finally he bit you again and came inside you violently
He waited until his cock stopped twitching to pull out and and fell to your side
Once you both caught your breaths, he got up to draw a bath for the two of you
"I don't think I can walk" you stated and he simply scooped you up and carried you over
As you bathed he examined your body and what he'd done to it. "I do apologize if this was too rough for you darling, I may have gotten carried away..." he said with tinge of guilt in his eyes
You couldn't imagine him never doing this again. You had to tell him. "Alastor... I loved it. Every second of it." You confessed. "Even the bites?" He asked. You nodded "even the bites"
Alastor smiled wickedly "well they do look quite lovely on you don't they... perhaps I'll have to replace them once in a while"

"Are you actually fucking kidding me?!" Jiwoo yells as she heads outside to meet her brother. "Wooyoung, you had one job!"
"And I got the job done, didn't I?" Wooyoung holds the grocery bag up. "Just got into a little accident, that's all." He points to the dent on the front of her car.
"A little?! It's a huge dent! What did you do?! Mom!" Jiwoo yells as she heads back into the house. "I told you I didn't want Wooyoung driving my car!"
"Your car was already out in the driveway." Wooyoung adds, rolling his eyes as he leaves the grocery bag on the counter.
"Yeah, so ask me to move next time!"
"Stop yelling, your voice is giving me a headache. It's annoying."
"Mom! Dad!"
"Jiwoo, stop yelling." Their mom comes from out of the room, followed by their father. "You don't need to yell—"
"I do, because Wooyoung took my car and dented it!"
"What happened?" Their father asks, his hands on his hips.
"It was an accident—"
"You haven't even said sorry!"
"And I won't if you keep cutting me off and yelling." Wooyoung glares at her. "Yeah, fucking keep it up—"
"Hey!" Their father chimes in, cutting Wooyoung off. "The both of you, be quiet! I'm not going to ask again. What happened to your sister's car?"
"It was an accident." Jiwoo crosses her arms as Wooyoung repeats. "I just didn't brake in time so I gave the car in front of me a 'lil love tap."
"You were texting and driving, weren't you?"
"For the record, I responded to one text."
"Ugh." Jiwoo groans loudly. "I literally just got the car, Wooyoung!"
"Say sorry to your sister."
"Now, is that necessary? Cause I'll—"
"Jung Wooyoung." Their mother sternly calls for him, making Wooyoung let out a deep sigh.
"I'm sorry." He looks at Jiwoo.
"You make sure that car gets fixed, Wooyoung. And take care of the costs. Your sister needs her car."
"What am I supposed to drive in the meantime?! Wooyoung's car?" Jiwoo smirks at him.
"Hell no!" Wooyoung spits. "You'll probably try and crash it into a tree the first chance you get."
"You can drive our SUV until it gets fixed."
"No!" Jiwoo looks at Wooyoung. "Wooyoung can just drive me around."
"I have shit to do that isn't on your time. Take the SUV." Jiwoo groans and rolls her eyes, brushing past her brother to get ready for the party.
"You're unbelievable. Seriously, what kind of brother are you?"
"Enough! Can we finally get ready for the bbq, please? People are going to be over soon. Can't get one moment of peace in this house when you two are home." Their mom checks the time, walking off to the kitchen with a loud sigh. "I hope you got everything from the list, Wooyoung." She yells just as she's about to dig into the bag.
"Wooyoung."
"What?"
"Be a little nicer to your sister."
"She's the one always jumping to conclusions and getting all mad. I didn't purposely try to get her car wrecked. At least I'm fine and not hurt, right?" Wooyoung rolls his eyes.
"I know, and yes, thank god. But, still. All you two do is butt heads, jeez. Can't you both try and get along sometimes?"
"Whatever." Wooyoung heads up to his room, already annoyed by the fact that he has to be here with his family all up on his case about the accident. He can admit, maybe he should've paid better attention on the road. But, it's the way none of them even asked if he was okay— Jiwoo constantly whining and yelling at him, his parents getting on his ass and backing her up. His little sister was definitely the favorite, being the top student and all. Golden child. Was in band and the church choir, never really rebelled. While Wooyoung skipped a class [or the whole day], talked back to his parents, stayed out late and just.. enjoyed having fun. He had his good days, but he also had his bad days. He wasn't necessarily cold, but he wasn't going to sugarcoat shit either.
He's a stark contrast to his little sister.
So, he shouldn't be surprised that his parents are taking her side. He shouldn't be surprised they'd come to her rescue first. He shouldn't be surprised at all. He can't wait to get the fuck up outta here when the bbq is over. He'll be out as soon as the morning hits, before any of them can wake up and pester him about anything else.
Tumblr media
You gather your hair back and secure it with a claw clip, running your cherry-flavored chapstick across your lips before pressing them together to spread it out. You check yourself in the mirror once more, not entirely crazy about your outfit for Jiwoo's family bbq today.
But, it'll do.
You had known Jiwoo since elementary school, meeting her in the 2nd grade when you sat for lunch alone and the boisterous girl joined you. She was the new girl, but she surely didn't act like it and you admired that about her. Since then, she never left your side despite your shy nature— not engaging in much in the conversation, only humming a few words or sounds in response when she ran through list of never-ending questions.
Even though her and Wooyoung were 2 years apart and very different, you felt like they were alike in many ways [which they'd deny until the very end].
That's how Jiwoo became your bestfriend. Because throughout all of life's changes, through your losses, she was your constant. She stayed, never wavered. Was your biggest support system alongside of your grandpa. Without her, you're not sure where you'd be. You owe alot of the push you've done in life to her.
yeosang: i'm downstairs!
you: cooooool, be down in a sec
*yeosang liked your message*
You check your outfit in the mirror once more, smoothing down the fabric before spraying a bit of perfume on your wrists. You press them together and rub it down your neck, down your clothes— a simple yellow floral tube top, white distressed jeans and your tore up chucks. It seemed fitting for a summer bbq; not one to wear dresses, shorts or mini skirts like that.
"Yo." Yeosang quickly scans your outfit just as you plop into the passenger seat and greet him. "You look nice."
"Thank you." You smile. "And thanks for picking me up." He reciprocates the smile, waiting for you to buckle up before driving off to Jiwoo's parents' house. From your tiny studio, it's about 25 minutes of a drive. Yeosang doesn't have to take the highway or anything, but he does have to navigate through the busy streets of the city before reaching their neighborhood. Jiwoo's parents celebrate their birthdays a day apart from each other, but it fell during the work week this year. So, they decided to throw a bbq with family and close friends on the weekend in order to be with everyone.
"What'd you do today?"
"I just went to get some groceries and bought a little gift for Jiwoo's parents. What about you?"
"Uh yeah, I just got their gift right before I picked you up." Yeosang chuckles. "Otherwise, I slept in a bit too much and by the time I knew it, half of my day was gone." You laugh.
"Yeo." You laugh. "You should really try waking up early. It's nice to get the most out of your day."
"It is, but you know what's also nice? Being under my covers." You laugh and shake your head, eyes fixed on the view through your window. The rest of the ride is comfortably silent with Yeosang's music playing in the background, especially since it isn't much of a drive. He does chime in here and there when he's reminded of random things he has to do or thinks about. Besides that, Yeosang is good at leaving you to your peace. When he pulls up to the street, he's having to park across from the house— Jiwoo's family and their close family friends already filling the spaces nearby.
"Oh! Y/N, Yeosang!" Jiwoo's mom sees you first, pulling you both into a hug before gesturing towards the kitchen. "Jiwoo is in here!" You both greet her happy birthday before following her into the chaotic scene that is the kitchen, Wooyoung quickly brushing past with a huge bowl of marinated beef in his hands and almost bumping into Jiwoo as she holds a huge pitcher filled with juice in her own.
"Wooyoung, move!" Jiwoo nudges him away and he glares at her.
"Stop! You'll make me drop this."
"What about me, butterfingers?"
"What about me, butterfingers?" He mocks her with a look before rolling his eyes and heading out to the backyard to meet his dad by the grill.
"I swear to God." She groans, before finally shifting her attention to you and Yeosang.
"Hi." You smile at her and you expect her mood to be lifted, but she continues to pout.
"Y/N, Yeo. Finally. Get me out of here. Please, let's just slip through the front door, no one will notice."
"Where's Joong? He has to come on our escape plan, too." You playfully go along with it.
"He's not here yet." She sighs.
"What's wrong?" Yeosang asks with a small chuckle. You look at Jiwoo with a slight head tilt, reading into the frustration in her eyes.
"Today is just so messy." She whines a bit, setting the pitcher down onto the main dining table. "Wooyoung's dumbass used my car and got into a little accident earlier."
"Oh, is he okay?"
"Yeah, look at him! He's the fucking same. But, you know what isn't? My car! The bumper is all dented and everything. You didn't see it walking into the house?" She lets out another frustrated groan and shakes her head. "Whatever, anyway, he's gonna make sure it gets fixed. He better."
"Was it his fault?"
"Yes." She sighs. "Texting and driving. Like an idiot."
"It'll be fine, Jiwoo. It's unfortunate, but I'm glad he's okay. I'm sure your brother will make sure it gets fixed in time." You add.
"He's so frustrating sometimes. Can't trust him with anything." You both follow her out to the backyard that is already filled with familiar faces.
"It's okay, it'll get fixed." You give her a small smile and squeeze her arm. "Let's just enjoy today, okay?" She gives you a small smile and throws her arm around you, bringing you over to one of the free couches near the back corner of the yard. Some of her family members are playing badminton on the other side of the backyard, while another cousin is playing music and has Wooyoung and his friends hovering around, conveniently close to the grill.
"Oh, Y/N. I wish I could be like you, sometimes. So much patience and grace. Things I need to be successfully related to Wooyoung."
"You have it. Just.. needs more practice." Yeosang responds, making you chuckle. You finally find her dad and greet him happy birthday before greeting the rest of her family members. You, Jiwoo and Yeosang hang around the backyard for a bit, talking about work and the upcoming summer party. You don't chime in much, nor do you want to being that it'll be your third year not attending. Luckily, at this point, Jiwoo's boyfriend, Hongjoong, walks into the backyard and starts greeting everyone before he plops himself right next to Jiwoo.
"Yo! Sorry I'm a little late." He looks at you and Yeosang. "Friends! I missed you, guys. It's nice to see your faces." You laugh.
"Hi Joong."
"Where were you? I was texting and calling you!" She pouts. "We had an escape plan ready."
"Escape plan?" Joong cocks a brow up.
"Yes, so I can get away from this mess named Wooyoung and cry to myself in peace."
"Baby, I'm sorry. I was caught up with my dad, he needed help with a few errands. The car will get fixed, okay? Glad no one was badly hurt." You smile to yourself as he kisses her on the temple. Hongjoong is a really good guy. He's perfect for Jiwoo and has a lot of patience for her. He cares for her a lot, and it's so clear you wouldn't ever second guess his feelings for her. He's selfless and would do anything for his lady without question.
You wonder what it'd be like to experience genuine true love like that. You've been in a relationship before but you couldn't exactly say it was love. Not a genuine, raw form of love, not a deep connection. Just a relationship where you learned about your partner and they learned about you, but that was far as it went. You don't remember feeling like the relationship was special, or like it was meant for you. It was more so another experience, another lesson in your book.
How does it feel to be completely, utterly, disgustingly in love and smitten with someone?
"I'll be back, I'm gonna get a drink." You mutter mid-conversation, getting up from the seat to head back into the kitchen. To your surprise, Wooyoung is there, sorting through some of the drinks set out.
"Oh, hey." Wooyoung gives you a small smile while you silently wait for him to move away from the counter where all the drinks are sitting— soda, juice and hard alcohol bottles spread across the surface. "Want me to make you something to drink?"
"Um." You softly respond. "It's alright, I was just gonna grab some juice." You point at the pitcher.
"You sure? You aren't driving anyway, right?" He points to Yeosang who is now talking to one of their cousins near the wading pool.
"Mmyeah, I came here with Yeo."
"Alright then." He smirks. "I'll make it pretty light, hm?"
"Okay." You smile sweetly at him. You've always had the sweetest smile and Wooyoung does enjoy seeing it, he won't lie. "Thank you, Wooyoung."
"Course." You twiddle with your fingers as you watch Wooyoung make a pretty concoction in a cocktail shaker, pouring in peach schnapps and cranberry juice with a dash of vodka. He transfers the drink into a fresh cup, handing it over with a smile on his face. "Wanna taste it before you go?" You sip on the drink, eyes lighting up at how good it tasted. You weren't exactly a fan of cocktails [or alcohol in general], though you wouldn't turn down a drink or two on some occasions.
"Mm, it's good!" He chuckles.
"Yeah? Kinda pulled the measurements out of my ass but I didn't put too much vodka."
"What're you doing?" Jiwoo walks into the kitchen.
"Listening to Y/N tell me how good my drink is." She looks at you with a brow cocked up.
"You don't have to lie to him." You giggle.
"It's actually good." You hand her your cup to taste the drink. She takes a good sip and nods in approval, shifting her attention to her brother.
"She wouldn't lie to me." Wooyoung winks at you.
"Can you make me one?"
"Nah. Bar's closed now. See what all that doubting does?" Wooyoung puts the lid back onto the vodka bottle before turning on his heel to walk away.
"You're a dick."
"Love you too." He says as he walks outside and returns to his bestfriend, San.
"You okay?" You ask her as she pours some juice into her cup.
"Yeah, I just came in here wondering why it was taking you so long to get juice." You laugh as you follow her back out into the backyard and to Yeosang and Hongjoong.
"Caught your bartending brother before he closed."
"Bartending brother?" Yeosang and Hongjoong both ask.
"Mm, Wooyoung made Y/N a drink and didn't even make me one." They laugh.
"Of course."
"Anyway, do you guys wanna sit at the wading pool? Dip our feet in and watch my family act a fool?"
"Sure. That sounds fun." Yeosang shrugs.
Throughout the rest of the bbq, you, Jiwoo, Hongjoong and Yeosang engage in a few other activities with her cousins besides hanging around the wading pool with her baby cousins— karaoke, some rounds of badminton, watching Jiwoo go head to head with her brother and older cousins in beer pong. From time to time, you catch Wooyoung looking over at you, giving off tiny smiles to be friendly. It isn't entirely uncommon, Wooyoung was always nice to you despite the distance. You don't talk much, but he doesn't necessarily treat you like a stranger especially after all these years.
It's a nice thing about him, their family— they're there for you.
They're there for you so much that Jiwoo comes up with the most incredible [in her terms] idea while she catches you cheering for Wooyoung during the very last round of beer pong against their cousins. It gets rowdier and rowdier, Wooyoung and his cousins yelling back and forth; their voices echoing into the sky. You try to sink behind Yeosang, jumping at the sudden cheers and random banging.
"You okay?"
"Yeah, it's just a little loud." You scrunch your nose, Yeosang throwing his arm around you to provide some kind of comfort during the round. When evening officially hits, the partying doesn't stop. If anything, it gets a little more rowdy with alcohol running through everyone's system.
"Oh, fuck!" Wooyoung says, the beer tipping out of his cup when his cousin rams into him and spilling onto your jeans.
"Jung Wooyoung!" You hear his mom yell while his dad laughs alongside of her, nudging her to let it go.
"Oh shit, Y/N. I'm so sorry." He looks at you before glaring at his cousin. "You dipshit, look at what you did!"
"Wooyoung!" Jiwoo yells, dabbing a napkin to the wet spot on your jeans.
"It's okay, Jiwoo—" You try to chime in, but your response gets drowned within the ruckus.
"It's Sebeom's fault, not mine! Why is everyone calling my name!"
"You both are idiots!" She groans, taking another napkin to your leg.
"The hell is the napkin gonna do, Jiwoo?" Wooyoung sets his cup down before gently grabbing your wrist. "Let's go dab some water on that." You silently follow behind, letting Wooyoung politely drag you into the kitchen. He's clearly drunk, fighting with the paper towel roll before he successfully peels off a few sheets and runs it under the water.
"Wooyoung, it's okay. I can always throw it in the wash."
"Still, it'll get sticky and smell like beer in the meantime." He says, crouching down and dabbing the wet towel to the spilled beer on your jeans. "I'm sorry, Y/N. You know how my family gets."
"It's alright." You watch as he pinches the edge of your jeans and tugs it outwards, widening the surface area as he continues to wipe away.
"It might look worse at first, but the water will help." He clicks his teeth. "Did it get anywhere else on you?"
"Just my left arm but it's fine—" He stands, albeit a bit wobbly at first, taking another end of the napkin to dab away at the small wet spots on your arm.
"Okay." He says, tossing the tissue away. "Better." He gives you a toothless smile. "Won't do it again."
"Thank you, Wooyoung. It's fine, it's not a big deal. Really."
"As long as I did a better job than Jiwoo." He says, leading you back out to the backyard.
"You made it worse!" Jiwoo yells.
"It gets worse before it gets better! Plus, the beer smell won't be lingering." Wooyoung scoffs. "At least Y/N is grateful for it." As soon as you've settled next to your friends, everyone begins to sing happy birthday to Wooyoung and Jiwoo's parents before digging in for more food and sharing the ginormous cake Jiwoo ordered from a mutual friend. Wooyoung brushes Jiwoo off to the side, determining that he has the best cake-cutting skills between the both of them.
"Here, Y/N. For you." Wooyoung hands you a hefty slice of cake, eyes still glazed over from the alcohol he had been drinking. You watch as he licks the icing from his thumb, shaking his head in ironic approval. "The cake is so good. Thank god Jiwoo got it right for once—"
"Wooyoung, shut up!"
"Don't start again!" Their mom yells from the other end of the table, yet the two continue to bicker. You, Hongjoong and Yeosang stay out of it and eat away at the cake, continuing to mingle with their family members for the rest of the night until Yeosang feels his social battery dying.
"You ready? We could stay if you want, though." You shake your head.
"I'm good. Let's go say bye to Jiwoo and her parents." He nods. You find Jiwoo first, talking to one of her aunts off to the side. You squeeze her wrist as a signal that you and Yeo are getting ready to leave, her eyes widening. Bottom lip poking out. Whines ready to leave her lips.
"Nooo, you're leaving me? Please take me with you." You laugh and rub her back as you pull away from the hug.
"You'll see me tomorrow. I'll be expecting you to come over."
"First thing in the morning. Leave some room in your bed." Yeosang shakes his head and turns to Hongjoong to bid him farewell.
"Make sure you bring her girlfriend home safely." Hongjoong says seriously, patting Yeosang on the back.
"Will do." He nods. You follow Yeosang out towards the front door, clinging onto his sleeve as you navigate the busy house. You almost slip out successfully until Wooyoung pauses in his steps, doing a double-take when he catches you on his way back to the backyard.
"You're leaving?" You nod, chuckling to yourself when you see him drunk-whining just like his sister. "It's early!" He whines a bit. "Were you not gonna say bye to me? I thought we were cool, Y/N."
"Bye Wooyoung." You wrap your arms around his waist as he pulls you into a rough, but tight bear hug. "Bye San." You wave at San, in which he responds with a tiny smile and wave.
"Drive safely!" He calls out before leaving. You finally get out of the house, Yeosang waiting for you by the front door. You're not even gonna lie, you are pretty exhausted already, and you're excited to get washed up to lay in bed and pick up your current read. Jiwoo's family was always fun, so lively and full of energy. They fit so well together, like they were all perfectly molded and crafted as one. They've become like your second family, and you wished you had your own you could be the same with. But, that also goes to say, their parties always leave you exhausted.
When Yeosang gets you home, you thank him for the ride and give him a hug once he's dropped you off at the door. You slowly waddle into the studio, a smile on your face when you see your bed, your nightlight— the smell of incense still lingering in the room. You quickly hop in the shower and get ready for bed, looking at the big, bright 10:27pm in white on your nightstand clock. You slip into bed, getting cozy under your sheets before grabbing your book. Jiwoo is texting you and Yeosang pictures from today, including ones of her cousins getting crazy during beer pong.
Today was fun. It's over, and it was fun.
Today is not over for Jiwoo, though.
A few of their family members linger around while Jiwoo and her mom continue to clean around the house. She orders her lazy ass brother to haul out the bags of trash to the garbage can and to clean up the remaining mess from the beer pong game out in the backyard. Once all of the cleaning as finished, Jiwoo rushes to the bathroom to beat her brother for a shower. She feels like she can finally relax, finally settle down, finally set her plan in motion—
"I need you to do me a favor." Jiwoo leans against the doorframe of Wooyoung's old room as he folds his clothes neatly into his duffle bag, grabbing a new pair of clothes to change into once he's showered.
"Depends." He mutters, not taking his eyes off of his bag.
"No, you at least owe me this." He scoffs.
"Nevermind, I need to shower. Come back to me in 3-5 business days—"
"You didn't even make me a drink earlier!
"Not my fault you doubted my bartending skills." He furrows his brows. "Plus, I already told you I was getting your car fixed."
"Great, then you can do one more favor for me." Wooyoung sighs as he turns to look at her.
"What, Jiwoo?"
"Can you be Y/N's date to our company's summer party?"
"What?" Wooyoung furrows his brows and lets out a pathetic chuckle. "You're kidding, right?"
"What's that supposed to mean? She's my bestfriend."
"Yeah, clearly. Why can't she find someone else to go with her? Like that guy you two are close with, Yeosang?"
"Um, that's weird." She furrows her brows. "That won't do. If she wanted to go with him, she would've done it a long time ago. You know her. She hasn't gone the past two years, I'm not gonna let her pass up on this one."
"So then go ask your man if he has a friend he can spare?"
"She's not gonna wanna go with any of his friends!"
"Too damn bad."
"You cleaned up her jeans like a saint earlier!"
"Because it was the right thing to do! What does that even have to do with this?!"
"Wooyoung." She whines, almost stomping her foot. Wooyoung pauses to look back up at her.
"Even if I agreed, you do know how awkward this might be, right? Not only for me, but for her, too." Wooyoung shrugs. "I know she's been your bestfriend for years but we aren't exactly close like that. We're two very different people. We can't exactly spend a whole evening together. Alone."
"I'll be there with Hongjoong."
"That's what I said. We'd be alone." Jiwoo groans.
"She'd definitely be more comfortable with you than someone else!"
"Doubt that. She's quiet and shy. Very much the opposite of me?"
"Yeah, big ass mouth."
"That can be useful." He smirks, making Jiwoo wince in disgust.
"You're so disgusting, Wooyoung. Maybe I should take this back."
"You really think she'd play along with this?"
"Yes!" Wooyoung squints his eyes.
"You didn't even tell her about this plan, did you?"
"She'll go along with it. Please. I just want her to go and have fun for once."
"Hm." He hums, deep in thought. "Nah."
"Just one night!" Wooyoung sighs.
"No."
"Wooyoung!" She pouts.
"Jiwoo, seriously. Quit."
"You owe me! I've had your back so many times, and I've never asked you for anything else out of the ordinary." He looks at Jiwoo and he actually feels a bit bad about the car situation. And it's true, even though they don't always get along, Jiwoo has always had his back and covered for him when she didn't entirely need to. She's always had his back even when he didn't really deserve it. He subtly nibbles on the inside of his cheek, letting out a deep sigh before shaking his head.
"Whatever. Tell me the details." She squeals and he quickly turns. "And by the way, this is your idea. Not mine. I'm only doing you a favor so you can stop hounding me about the car. It's one night and that's it. If she gets mad, that's all on you."
"Fine. Consider your debt paid." She gives him a small smile. "Thank you."
Tumblr media
"What are you talking about, Jiwoo?"
"I want you to go to the party and have fun." She pouts a bit, brushing your hair away from your face. You furrow your brows at her, pushing your glasses up the bridge of your nose.
"But, parties aren't really my thing." You shrug. "And besides, I don't really have anyone to go with. I hate to say it, but I don't wanna show up alone. Everyone has dates they can bring. You have Hongjoong." You look over Jiwoo's shoulder and catch Yeosang talking to his team members at the far end of the room. He catches you looking over, flashing you a small smile before returning his attention to his coworker.
Yeosang was great, no lie. He was a good guy, everyone could see that from miles away. He was smart, diligent, kind, and the biggest team player. He started at the same time as your cohort of new hires, Jiwoo starting a couple of months beforehand. When you saw him in person, you did find him attractive. He was at a good height and well-built, black flowy hair framing his chiseled face. At first, you thought Yeosang was just being nice to you. But, slowly, he'd accompany you to the break room for coffee breaks. Bring you coffee and pastries from another shop on random mornings. Occasional outings to lunch. Until finally, he'd accompany you to casual dinners where it felt a little too serious to be considered casual— you just didn't wanna dwell on it. Too shy to say anything or bring it up because your brain goes on overdrive and makes you think you're reading into this more than you should.
He was just your friend, being your friend. So you'd like to think.
You weren't really sure what you wanted out of this, but at this moment in time, you felt like Yeosang was good enough as that. If people found out you weren't entirely into him, they'd probably think you're crazy. And you probably are, but as much as you appreciate Yeosang's company and his kindness, you fear you'd be forcing yourself into something with him.
That's not what you think Yeosang deserves.
If anything were to develop, you'd like it to develop naturally. It hasn't yet, so maybe this was a sign that you two were actually better off as friends? You're not good at this whole dating thing, reading into signs and signals.
"I know you don't really wanna go with him either."
"It's not that. I just feel like it'd be awkward and I'd ruin our friendship. It'd feel way too forced for me."
"Y/N, you're gonna have to tell him sooner or later." You shake your head. "Then?"
"Then, I don't know. I just don't know about him. That's why I'm perfectly fine staying home and being away from all of that."
"What if my brother goes with you?" Your eyes widen.
"W-Wooyoung?" She nods. "No, Jiwoo. Is this what this is all about?"
"Look, don't get mad, okay? Just hear me out." You cross your arms as she lets out a breath. "I asked my brother to accompany you to the party and he agreed to go."
"What?!" You say a bit louder than expected. "Is it because he feels bad for me?"
"No! Shh!" Jiwoo furrows her brows at you. "I mean, he also owes me, but—"
"Jiwoo, I'm not a charity case!" You harshly whisper.
"I know, I know! You aren't. I just really want you to go." Truthfully, if this were any other person or circumstance, you'd probably feel a little hurt [even with good intentions]. You'd certainly feel like a charity case, and you'd feel sorry for yourself; especially for having to be set up in this way.
But, you're surprisingly not all that hurt by it.
Again, you know Jiwoo has good intentions and she would never do anything to intentionally hurt you. She does have a point— you haven't really gone to any of the big summer parties. You didn't mind it, but now that you think about it, you feel like you can't hide forever. The feeling of missing out settles in the pit of your stomach, and it's awful.
You're probably the only person who ducks out on these things. You're the one to blame for choosing not to be involved and for shielding yourself away from people, any inconvenience, etc. Shielding yourself away from fun, happiness. Life doing its thing.
"Mm yeah." You look at her. "I'm not close to your bother like that, though." It's true despite how he can be in person. Although you and Jiwoo were glued to the hip growing up, Wooyoung had his own group of friends and didn't pay much attention to you and his little sister. You both knew the basics about each other, have gone on trips together, tagged along with Wooyoung when he was the only means of transportation for you and Jiwoo. Why would he be worried about you, anyway? You two were busy fangirling over B2K, young Heath Ledger in 10 Things I Hate About You and Sean Patrick Thomas in Save the Last Dance, screaming at the top of your lungs whenever your favorite songs came on and shopping for hours at the same mall almost every weekend.
Not exactly Wooyoung's cup of tea.
Wooyoung was always rough-housing with his friends or going on casual 'dates' with different girls, blasting his 90s music in his room [like Vivrant Thing by Q-Tip, it's his fave] that'd shake Jiwoo's walls and drive her crazy. He had a few relationships that always ended up crazy toxic and you've seen the girls crying over him on their doorstep or throwing shit at his window to grab his attention after days of no communication. Despite that, he's not entirely a bad brother. He did his best to support Jiwoo throughout all her milestones in life, never missing an important event or being there for her when she needed her brother more than anyone else. They bicker and fight. A lot. But, they'd be there for each other in a heartbeat if needed. No question.
"You are, enough! You know he's full of himself and gross." You give her a look.
"Okay, really? That's supposed to make this better?"
"Sorry, kidding. Just my defense mechanism as his sister." She crosses her arms and sighs. "But, Wooyoung isn't exactly a stranger. And knowing my brother, he'd lead the entire time. Just let him accompany you to the party and call it a night! At least you'll be there with me and we can have fun together."
"You're gonna be busy with Hongjoong." You slowly walk back to your desk.
"I'm not. At least not entirely."
"Jiwoo." You look at her.
"I won't be too busy with him! I promise." Jiwoo looks at the date on your computer. "It's up to you, Wooyoung already agreed. But, today's the last day to RSVP."
"I feel bad, I told Yeosang I wasn't going."
"This isn't entirely how I'd go about things but hey, he'll see you with my brother. Maybe that'll initiate a talk, and you can tell him you don't want to ruin your friendship."
"Mm." You hum and pull up the email with the RSVP button, not really trying to think about the whole thing too deeply. "I don't have anything to wear."
"It's fine, we'll go shopping soon! We have some time before the party." She softly squeals as she watches you type away and send off your RSVP.
"Jiwoo, I don't know how to get ready for these things. I can't even do my hair and makeup properly."
"Babe. I will help you get this sorted out. Don't even worry. We're gonna have fun! It'll be good. I'm just happy you're finally coming." You give her a small smile.
"I hope it'll be good." Your bottom lip slightly pokes out. "Am I supposed to text your brother and thank him?"
"No. Don't worry about him."
"He's accompanying me to the party, of course—"
"Seriously, don't. It'll be fine. I promise."
Tumblr media
"Papa?" You gently open the door and walk in, setting your shoes aside.
"Is that my girl?" Your grandfather comes from around the kitchen, holding two small bowls of rice in his hand. "You made it in time for dinner!"
"I can never miss dinner with you." You giggle, stepping out of your shoes and placing your things down before taking your place at the table. "How was your day today, papa?"
"Good." He sits in front of you with a smile.
"Did you exercise like you promised?"
"Yes." He gives you a look, making you chuckle. Your grandfather was 77 years old and still active, still healthy as can be. When you moved out, you made him promise he'd continue his exercise regimen and that he'd continue to keep himself healthy with wholesome foods. Reading. Going out and exploring the town. After all these years, he's the only one who has taken care of you well— having lost your mom and dad at an early age due to illnesses, same thing with your grandma. Despite the adversity, your grandpa made sure to put you first even if he was hurting, if he was tired, if he was stressed. He never took that out on you. He never made you feel like you were a burden, or like there was love lacking under his roof.
It was time for you to do the same.
"Good."
"How was the bbq?"
"Good! It was fun. Loud. Chaotic. Per usual at the Jung household." He laughs.
"Sounds like you had a good time." You nod. "How about work?"
"It was okay. It was pretty busy at first, but eventually settled." You avoid contact, digging into your rice when you grab a piece of samgyeopsal sitting in front of you. He watches you closely, seeing how you've gotten quieter in the last few minutes, signaling you were hiding something.
"Did else happen today that's making you watch the rice in your bowl?" You give off a tiny laugh and shake your head.
"Mm, well. Jiwoo convinced me to go to the summer party."
"You're going?" He smiles from ear to ear, happy to hear that you're finally going to enjoy yourself at the summer party you always avoided. He never forced you to do things outside of your comfort zone, but he did wish you'd go and enjoy yourself from time to time. Be happy. Have fun. "Good, I'm happy you're going! Is Jiwoo going with Hongjoong?"
"Mhm!"
"Then.." Papa looks at you with a small smirk. "Are you going with Yeosang?" You shake your head.
"N-no."
"No?" He looks at you, surprised. You've definitely talked to your grandfather about Yeosang and how you were feeling about everything. Even then, he was still surprised you weren't going together as friends.
"I'm going with Wooyoung."
"Jiwoo's brother?" You nod.
"Papa, it's kinda stupid. The way everything happened and how I ended up going."
"Nothing is stupid. Try me. How did you end up with Wooyoung as your date?"
"Well, now I'm gonna sound like a charity case."
"You are not." You give your grandpa a look before stuffing your face with more rice and pork.
"Wooyoung got into a little accident while using Jiwoo's car."
"Is he alright?" You nod.
"Yes, he's okay. Jiwoo is having him cover the car.. but also slipped in another favor." You shyly look up as you continue to nibble on your food, and your grandpa laughs.
"Ah, and that favor is the party, I'm assuming."
"Yeah. It's silly."
"It's not. She's coming from a good place and just wants you there. The whole car thing is unfortunate but for her, seems to be the right stroke of luck to get her bestfriend at the summer party." You giggle.
"I guess you could say that." You sigh. "I'm just worried about Yeosang. I told him I wasn't going and I'm not sure I will."
"You'll just show up with Wooyoung?" You shrug.
"I don't know how to do these things, Papa. I don't wanna hurt him, but I really can't see myself being his date or taking this further. I don't know what to say or how to say it yet."
"Eventually, you're gonna have to, you know that, right? For the sake of your friendship. He seems like a great guy, and I'm sure he'll understand whatever the case is, Y/N."
"I know." You shake your head. "I will. But, not now." Papa nods quietly before eating another spoonful.
"It'll turn out fine, okay? Don't worry about it too much."
"Thank you." You softly smile.
"Anyways, back to Wooyoung—" He pauses to eat some more. "It's not the most common way to find a date. But, weirdly, I'm glad it happened this way. I want you to go and have fun." You silently look at him. "Life doesn't slow down, you don't get any younger. Take the opportunities no matter how silly it may sound at first. Make more memories."
"I know. I'm just.. I feel awful that Wooyoung even has to go with me. He's probably going to have the worst time."
"Don't say that. He's going with you and the both of you will have fun. Let yourself have fun. Plus, it's Wooyoung. You know him. I'm sure he'll do what he can to make sure you are comfortable."
"I guess so."
"Enjoy, and have fun. Don't worry about anything, promise me that?"
"I'll try."
"That's all I can ask for." Because all he wanted was to see you happy. Genuinely happy in your own skin. Enjoying yourself. Having fun.
All he wanted was to see you smile over life again.

❤️‍🔥4 and 6 with Luke Hughes maybe?
Hi, I hope you don't mind I changed this to Quinn. I don't write smut for Luke Hughes because he's just a little too young for me.
200 Followers Celebration
"Swallow it All of it." "suck on it."
Quinn and you had decided to take the boat out with just you two. Although both the other Hughes brothers did have a small protest about but for different reasons. Jack said he was scared of what we would do by ourselves. While Luke, was more annoyed that you packed the rest of cookies you made the other day, upset that you were taking the rest with no promise of baking more soon.
Quinn who is usually much nicer, respectfully told his brothers to fuck off as he was grabbing your hand boat keys already in his hand almost dragging you to the boat. The laugh that leaves your lips, almost turns in to wheezing as you have tears in your eyes as Luke follows you out begging to at least have one going as far as climbing on the boat while Quinn is getting ready to turn on the engine.
"moose if she promises to make more will you please get off the fucking boat so we can leave."
"Promise." You swear you've never heard someone more serious in his life, that was until you heard Quinn.
"You heard him."
"Yes Luke I'll make you more." you promise once you get your laughter under control from the antics of your boyfriend and his brothers. With that, Luke was off the boat as fast as he got on heading back into the house.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Quinn was driving the boat and you sat next to him. Quinn still a little annoyed at both his little brothers couldn't help but mention Jack's comment.
"I really can't believe Jack sometimes. Like your "scared" of what WE will do in the boat. As if I don't know for a damn fact he's done shit on this very boat the ONE time I let him take his girl only on the boat last summer." Although you loved Quinn, you hated when he would get fixated on someone's small comment because sometimes he really had a hard time moving on with his day.
That's when like a lightbulb an idea popped into your head. "You know." as your hand goes to reach for Quinn's upper thigh. "we could always make Jack's 'worst fear' as he called it a reality." With each word your hand creeping up more and more. You could feel under your hand Quinn's leg stiffening at your touch.
"baby I'm driving." he tried to reason with you.
"I know but what I'm thinking of what you can still be driving for."
"what's that?" his curiosity winning in the moment.
"have you ever had road head while driving this?" you asked but it came out more as a suggestion. Quinn snapped his head towards you in shock. He was at a loss for words but that only encouraged you more as you stood up, and bent down next to his seat.
"you wanna suck me off here. In the open, where anyone can see." He asked looking down at you, as he slowly brought the boat to a stop to have this conversation.
"well no one is around and wouldn't you like to get even with Jack after last summer Quinny." Batting your lashes back at him.
"fine but I'm not moving driving while you do it. too dangerous."
A small pout forms on your face but he gives you the famous, Quinn "I am not changing my mind" Hughes look. So you decide to just smile you as he turns in his seat to face you. Moving your hands to his waist band of his swim trunks. You quickly help him slip out his semi.
"Well if you don't wanna drive I can think of something else we can do." You suggest as you look up at him through your lashes.
"no. you said you'd suck my dick so suck on it." his dominance coming out, turning you on more than you already were.
Looking up to him as you slip him into your mouth, as quickly as you can. As Quinn lets his next comment slip, lost on the pleasure you're giving him. "And you better swallow All of it or you're gonna be a begging mess when I delay your orgasm later."
Hiya, as you have requests open could you do some headcannons (sfw and NSFW perhaps?) for Charlie, Velvette & Verosika dating a male! reader who's on the insecure/shy side?
"Good Boy" ; Charlie Morningstar, Velvette, Verosika Mayday
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SFW:
She's the absolute sweetest, my god. Every day, praising everything she sees about you, letting you know how much she loves you, giving you soft hugs and shoulder rubs...
Since you're on the shyer side, she'd always make sure to ask if you're comfortable coming to social events with her.
If so, she'll bring you along and not force you to interact, but introduce you as her boyfriend if you're comfortable with it. But if not? No problem! She can either go by herself or you two can have a night in.
She's also constantly encouraging you to put yourself out there, because if people don't love you for who you are the way she does, good! They didn't deserve you, anyways.
"It'll be okay, S/O! You're so amazing, they're bound to love you! And hey, what's the worst that could happen?"
She totally understands if you're not comfortable doing all that, though. She'll give you her jacket and calmly comfort you.
Plus, her cuddles are really amazing. She'll hold you on her chest and kiss your forehead and all over your face, reminding you just how much she loves you.
And she loves those smaller intimate gestures. Comparing hand sizes, neck kisses and nuzzles, and the like.
NSFW:
Soft dom. Straight up.
Lots of praise, kisses, promises and declarations of love as she guides you in and out of her cunt, usually riding you so you don't have to put too much effort into it to be pleased.
Charlie is most definitely a service top, she gets off on your pleasure.
Seriously, blowjobs, handjobs, just about anything, she gets pleasure out of it when she makes you feel good.
Definitely a praiser in bed.
"You're doing so well, S/O, good boy! I'm so proud of you..."
Honestly, the easiest way to turn her on as her partner is to call her "Charlotte". She doesn't like it when people who aren't close to her do it, but when you do it? It's like flipping a switch in her head.
Her tongue is extendable and prehensile. She can make it just about as long as she wants and curl around just about anything, including your dick. And she won't have any second thoughts, either.
Sometimes, if you piss her off beforehand, she'll be a tad more rough, and the demon form may come to play. The horns, the tail, the sharper fangs, the inverted eye colors with slit pupils, the whole shebang.
But afterwards, it's right back to soft and loving, gentle Charlie.
She's a pro at aftercare, luckily, and she makes sure your every need and want is met. :)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SFW:
She's not the nicest to just about anyone, and you're no exception. Sure, she's nicer by comparison, but she can hardly be considered polite.
Still, though, she has those rare moments where she'll actually show you that she loves and appreciates you, as selfish and rude as she is.
For example, a quick peck on the cheek after she's done something particularly obnoxious, or ranting to you before a big show she's nervous about.
"That fuckin' bitch can't even be bothered to fix that rat's nest on her head for the big event, and now I have to pull the rest of the girls together!"
Of course, she wouldn't tell you if she didn't trust you and love you. She wouldn't think it's worth it to bare the way she feels so openly.
She'd probably try to convince you to model for her to boost your confidence. If you did, she'd be considerably nicer to you than all her other models, for obvious reasons.
After all, she isn't dating any of her other models. They aren't any of her concern.
If you refuse, she'll be pouty for a bit, but eventually begrudgingly accept it, although she'll let you know that she's still not happy about it.
NSFW:
Mean dom, oh my god. Like, full on bordering on dominatrix, punishment and all.
Obviously, of course there's a safeword and consent is always implied. She's a lot of things, but she's all for consent.
That doesn't mean you don't have to be a bit of a masochist to fuck her, though. She'll make you please her first, fingering her, eating her out, or something along those lines, chasing her own pleasure before she thinks of pleasing you in return. And even then, it all depends on how she thinks you did.
"Mm~... Fuck, you love this, don't you~? Dirty little slut~."
Yeah, she has a thing for dirty talk, degradation (giving), and she probably has a mild Mommy, Mistress, or pet play kink, honestly. But the odds are she will never bottom. For you or for anyone else.
I could also weirdly see her being into choking or some other kink that gives her complete power over you.
But of course, at the end of the day, she still loves you very much, and she'll never not let you cum.
Even though she teases and edges for up to hours before she actually gives in and gives you what you so desperately need...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
SFW:
Honestly, Verosika is a really sweet girlfriend, although it does take her a little while to actually start showing you that side of herself.
She's had bad relationships in the past, namely with Blitzø, so she's still recovering from that and learning not to put all her eggs in one basket. Or more accurately, not to put all her faith in a brand new relationship.
But honestly, once she's over that? You're basically fully integrated into her life. Her posse loves you, you're basically one of them.
And thanks to dating Verosika, Vortex is also usually helping to protect you. What kind of bodyguard would he be if he couldn't protect his boss' boyfriend, too? Especially when he's never seen her so happy before.
"Heya, gang. This is S/O, my boyfriend~. Isn't he hot~?"
Of course, the group immediately accepts you, absolutely adoring the fact that you make Verosika so happy and feel so loved and cherished.
NSFW:
More of a switch, to be honest? Like, even as she maintains her usual persona, she's encouraging you to thrust into her, to fuck her hard, etc.
Like, she isn't outright domming you, but she also isn't subbing, she's kind of somewhere right in the middle of that, trying to encourage you.
She's a succubus, so her method of trying to give you confidence is to make you feel sexually desired, which is why she never holds back any noises you make her make at all. She wants you to know you're the one doing that to her.
"A-Ahn~... Oh, S/O... Right there, baby boy~... Yes, fuck, ngh... So good~..."
After all, if you can successfully please not just any succubus, but the Verosika Mayday, herself? That's got to do something for your self-esteem, right?
Besides, she's a succubus. She's really good at pleasuring people, and like Charlie, her tongue is extendable and prehensile, thanks to the whole 'succubus' thing.
She's someone who doesn't mind being heard even from outside the bedroom. After all, why should she be ashamed that her boyfriend makes her feel so wonderful, and that she does the same for him in return? Nothing shameful about it.
okay, on to the real stuff!
Tumblr media
"Kenmaaaaa, let's go (insert activity of choice)!"
"...do we have to?"
"Yes! It'll be fun, I promise!"
"...are you sure?"
"Yes, come on!"
"...you really wanna?"
"Yes! And I promise to spend a whole day gaming with you. We can play literally any game you want. Now, can we go? Pleaseeee?"
Sigh. "Alright."
This was the usual conversation between the two of you whenever you wanted to do something Kenma didn't necessarily enjoy. In other words, you’d bribe him with a full day of gaming together.
You knew he'd much rather stay in any day of the week instead of go out and engage in such uncomfortable, sweaty and outdoor (derogatory) activities. Anyone who even remotely knew him would know that. However, you genuinely thought that doing more physical activities together would be good for the both of you.
Hence your increasingly frequent pleas for him to join you in doing said activities.
The first time you asked him out on such a date, it was to go swimming together. He looked at you with a blank expression, but you could read his thoughts exactly. "Do you even like me? Do you even know me?" was what he seemed to be saying. With his eyes, at least.
To be honest, most of his reasons for not wanting to go swimming were pretty valid. Why would he wanna get soaked just to take another shower after that? Why would he go swimming when there are gonna be people around to witness him flap around in the water? And his hair is already bleached, so why would he want to ruin it further by going into a pool practically loaded with chlorine? Out of everything, chlorine had to be the bacteria killer? Why couldn't it have been something nicer, like chocolate or something?!
Fair enough, you thought. But by the time the two of you were out of the pool that day (you don't even remember if you just played in the water or if you actually swam laps together), the sun was literally shining down on him, yet his smile seemed brighter than the sun itself. You weren't sure exactly what about swimming had made him smile like that the first time, but since then, every time you suggested going swimming together, you'd remind him how much fun he had the last time and he'd be less opposed to the idea.
Even though he'd probably never admit it to you, he actually enjoyed going swimming with you that first time because of you. The way you laughed and the way you seemed so comfortable in the water honestly captivated him. Then he started to notice how the sun reflected off the water and onto your skin, casting a golden glow around you.
So damn pretty, he remembered thinking to himself.
Soon, you started going swimming at night - to not "die of UV rays", in his words - and the way the moonlight reflected off your skin was simply ethereal. He couldn't have used any other word to describe you in that state. You reminded him of a siren, and if real sirens were even half as beautiful as you, he’d understand why those pirates and sailors were so easily lured out to sea.
Even if you couldn't swim swim, you still looked so content in the water that slowly, he couldn't say no to going swimming with you anymore.
The next kind of activity you asked him to do together was to go to the beach. And of course, you were met with the usual resistance at first. The way his face lightened when you said "swimming" then pinched together when you said "at the beach" told you exactly what he was thinking.
Ew. Sand. Everywhere.
Honestly? Valid. Sand gets everywhere - and I mean everywhere. The sand gets scorching hot in the daytime so why would anyone wanna go there? To get sand up your ass? To burn your feet off?? Like, can't you just do that over the kitchen stove or something?
That was until you were spending the day together at the beach, building sandcastles and sunbathing and just hanging out by the water. You could never forget how relaxed he looked by the end of it.
Sure, there were tons of other people at the beach that day, but he completely forgot about that when he was with you. You just did that somehow - make him feel like it was just the two of you even in a crowded room.
"It's not that bad, right, Kenma?"
"Eh..."
It's "not that bad" only because of you but I'm not admitting that, is what he was thinking.
This process continued with several more activities - cycling, hiking, even going to the gym.
When you asked him to go cycling together, his face told you, "What makes you think I'd enjoy cycling when there isn't even water to help me cool off this time? And what if I lose balance and fall?"
When you asked him to go hiking together, his expression screamed, "There aren't even gonna be wheels this time, are you kidding me? My legs are gonna give out. You're gonna have to haul me back home by yourself and it's not gonna be my problem."
And when you asked to go to the gym together, he muttered, "Kuroo and Yamamoto are rubbing off on you."
Despite these complaints, Kenma always came home looking more refreshed than ever. Even though he still didn’t love those sports, he didn’t hate them either, thanks to you. But that wasn't the point.
To him, the point was just seeing you do what made you happy. And as much as he hated getting all sweaty and sore and tired, he absolutely loved watching you go about the activities you had planned. Sure, you were just as sweaty and sore and tired as he was, but he didn't care. He honestly just cared that you were happy, and he knew then that he would do anything just to make you smile like that for the rest of your lives.
As for non-physical activities, if you love doing things like going to the museum, painting, gardening, yoga or meditation, board games, photography, he'd definitely be less resistant even though he doesn't particularly love those activities, and of course he'd just enjoy spending that time with you. Honestly, he's just glad you didn't pick something physically draining this time.
One time, you dragged him away from his video game and out of his bedroom to go play in the rain together. When you told him you wanted to go out into the rain, he had half a mind to drag you back into the house and lock you in the bedroom with him. But he was also kinda curious as to what you could possibly find so exciting in the middle of a rainstorm, so he followed you outside with just his hoodie, sweatpants and house slippers.
As raindrops pelted against his skin and clothes, he looked up to see you standing in front of him with your arms held out to the side and your head tilted slightly upward.
It was cool and rainy night, and Kenma would typically be in the comfort of his bed or gaming chair, safely sheltered from the rain. Why the hell would you wanna go out in the rain when you have a perfectly good house to stay in? He thought earlier.
Now, he finally had an answer to that. Two, in fact.
One, it was beautiful. He's obviously seen rain before, but only from his window. He had never been in the rain like this before. He's been caught in the rain on the way home from school or practice, sure, but never deliberately in the rain.
Looking up, the night sky was splattered with stars, barely visible behind metallic grey storm clouds. Silvery droplets raced towards the ground and glistening specks of water started to collect on his lashes. Blinking them away, he could see you in front of him.
The second answer to his earlier question was simple. You.
Dressed in one of his old volleyball jerseys, home shorts and slippers, you still looked so goddamn beautiful to him. You were laughing wholeheartedly even as raindrops assaulted your skin from above. You were somehow glowing even with just the dim streetlights nearby. Turning towards him, you grabbed his hands and pulled him towards you, further out onto the empty street.
"Come on, babe, have some fun!" You yelled, making sure he could hear you through the downpour. He could feel the rainwater slowly soaking through the material of his hoodie and onto his skin. He watched as you started kicking your feet and jumping into puddles of water on the road, and soon, the two of you were in the middle of an all-out puddle war.
Sooner or later you'd both be out of breath, and you'd end up with your arms wrapped around his neck and his around your waist. As the two of you swayed slowly back and forth, everything seemed to be in slow motion. The falling of rain around you, the steady beating of your heart, your slow breaths and the quiet rumble of thunder nearby added to the overall ambience.
Thinking back, he wasn't sure if this experience was beautiful because of the rain or because of you. Probably the latter, he thought. Furthermore, if he had to describe this experience in one word, he'd say it was magical. Simply and absolutely magical, and all thanks to you.
That day, he also decided that going out into the rain with you was worth an extra shower, and eventually this became a habit for the two of you whenever it rained heavily at night. If you moved to an apartment, you'd stand on the balcony together and stay there while it rained. Sometimes you'd dance, sometimes you'd play around with the puddles of rainwater on the ground, and sometimes you'd just be in each other's arms talking about anything and everything.
Main point is, he’s in love with you and he would do anything for you - even if it means getting sweaty and tired. Though I don’t think he’d complain that much if you asked to play volleyball HAHAHA
Ranking the yandere rottmnt boys by how likely they are to kidnap their darling
Just a little crumb to keep myself from losing my mind while staring at google docs this late at night. Sorry if this is super bad, it's way later at night than I'm used to staying up and election night stressed me the hell out.
Donnie.
I have absolutely no doubts that he's going to at least try very very hard to kidnap you. And honestly, I doubt it would be too hard. He's a highly trained, mystic wielding, tech inventing, mutant ninja turtle. And on top of that, he's very fond of planning absolutely everything. And to finish it all off, I think it would be once in a blue moon that he actually treats his darling as an equal. He already thinks he's better than almost everyone, and when he gets obsessed, he has to make himself feel better about it somehow, so he decides to cope by thinking you need him instead of it being the other way around. As a result, he treats you a bit like a very glorified songbird, and songbirds.. well, aren't they usually put in cages anyway? You won't even care after a week or two of adjustment! (He will get upset if you aren't content with being kidnapped by then, by the way.)
2. Raph
The only reason Raph is behind Donnie on this list is because I think he would take longer to justify it to himself. He thinks you're fragile, that you need to be protected from the harsh world! I mean, he barely trusts his youngest brother, who is also a highly trained ninja, to do a simple mission on his own. How do you think he'll treat you after the obsession sets in properly? Not really as an equal, I'll tell you that. He's much nicer to you than Donnie would be, but he still doesn't respect you enough to let you handle yourself, even if that's not how he sees his behavior. At the same time though... isn't he supposed to be a hero? Do heroes kidnap their darlings? Or would this make him the dragon... In the end though, he'll decide that he's fine with being the dragon so long as he knows that the rest of the world won't be able to run their metaphorical (or maybe literal, depending on how unpopular you are in the area) pitchforks right through your heart.
3. Mikey
Mikey wouldn't just.. outright kidnap his darling, I think. I think it would start with a fun sleepover at the lair! Then he insists you stay just one more day! You're having so much fun, after all! Don't you wanna hang out with your best friend for a while longer? You agree, of course- him and his brothers have been nothing but nice to you ever since you met them, and their company is always a delight, so it's worth a shot, isn't it? Then suddenly, the weekend is over, and school's ready to chew you up again, so you do leave. Then it's finally the weekend again! You've heard of a fun game from your school friends, so you plan on trying it when you get home this afternoon- it's friday, after all- when you get a text from Mikey in the group chat with his brothers. He wants you to come over again- and, of course, you say "sure". Not like you can't just play the game on sunday, or when you go home saturday. The sleepover flies by, but you're a bit weary by the time you're pretty sure you're supposed to go home- but here's Mikey, and he's so sure that you promised you'd stay at the lair until sunday again! So, you give in. There's always next weekend, right...? I think you get the pattern, but eventually, he'll be keeping you at the lair 24/7, and you'll be rubbing at your weary eyes wondering how you got into this mess. Sometimes you can even see his brothers shoot you worried looks.
4. Leo
Leo would only kidnap his darling as a last resort, and I think it's because of two reasons. One, he's the brother who sees you closest to being an equal (Donnie and Raph constantly go against your personal autonomy and Mikey puts you on an extremely restricting pedestal), though to be fair, that's not a high bar to pass- and two he much prefers to have some sort of interesting conflict to be present because he finds it entertaining. His life is a weird, morally incorrect soap opera at this point, and he's the number one viewer. Kidnapping would only really happen with him if he thought you were either seriously leaving him (moving or getting into a serious relationship with someone else) or if the circumstances around him got too stressful and he needed something to cling to for any semblance of support outside his brothers (who, at that point, would probably also be super stressed). Think post movie, when the city is still recovering. Man, he was probably freaking out thinking that you might've died to the kraang.
"How 'bout this?" (Asks Bonnie, holding up another spoonful of soup for you to try. You take a sip.)
(It's creamy, a little salty, nice and hot. It burns a little on your tongue but it was okay. Because once it was past your throat you didn't feel much more.)
"Tasty!" (You respond with a smile.)
(You were set up next to Bonnie as they cooked the meal for tonights sleepover. It was, differen't. Sure there were some similar stuff, samosas, rice, but they were making some soup for you now, too.)
"You sure?" (Bonnie pouted at you.) "I mean! Of COURSE it's tasty!!! Duh!!!"
(You let out a little laugh as Bonnie confidently goes back to cooking. They had been nicer than usual. Last time you were in the same kitchen you were banned from cooking for life. Not like you could now anyways, hahaaa. . .)
(You still couldn't move.)
(It had been a few hours, Odile had tried a few more things, Mira, Odile, and Isabeau had gone around town asking for help, trying not to cause a panic, reasuring people you were okay, trying to keep things discrete. You hadn't gotten a chance to talk to Loop.)
(It was all. . . So, so differen't. They were all acting similar but, differen't. The play had shifted, changed, they all had gotten a script and you had to improvise. At least you had a lot of rehearsals.)
(Even if they should probably just get a replacement actor, haha.)
(Look at you, can't move from the neck down. Had to get help to get anything. Stars, Bonnie would be more helpful in the house than you. . .)
". . . Heyfrin." (Bonnie took a pause from cooking. They didn't look at you.) ". . . Are we gonna be okay tomorrow?"
(H-huh???) "Of course we are." (You say with a smile.)
"I'm not a stupid kid, Frin!!!" (Bonnie yells.) "You always look for the traps and the keys and stuff and know where to go!! What if we can't make it! What if we don't get to the King, and, and. . ."
"Bonnie. . ." (You want to reach out to them. They're, are they crying?)
"And what if I don't get to see Nille again!!" (They were crying.) "What if, i-if. . ."
"You'll be okay, Bonnie." (Oh no you are nooooot ready for this talk.) "I, promise. I promise okay? You'll be okay."
"But you don't know that!!!" (Bonnie turned to look at you, finally. They looked like a mess.) "You don't know if we'll make it!! You're just, just saying that!!!"
(But, you do know.)
(You know that, no matter what, they'll be okay. You'll get out of this, eventually. It, it might be harder now but. . .)
(It might be impossible, but. . .)
(But. . .)
"It's not fair!!!" (Bonnie shook their head.) "It's not fair!!! You can't even move!! And you wont get to meet Nille!!!"
(Wait.) "You, wanted me to go back to Bombouche after-?"
"Of course I did!!! Crabface!!!!" (Bonnie angrily turned back to the food.) "I know you don't crabbing care about me but I wanted you to see my sister!!! Now you won't!!! None of us will!!!"
(That. . . That, this was new- wait, wait you know this!)
"Of course I care about you!" (You yell, a bit more emotional than you meant.)
"You don't crabbing care about me!!! You don't know anything about me!!!"
"But I do know about you. . ."
"You don't!!! Not even a little bit!!! You don't even know my three favorite foods!!!"
(Bingo.) "I do. . ."
"H-Huh?!?" (They turn to you again.)
("You love. . .") "Rice."
"Y-yeah, that's true, but. . ."
("And. . .") "Pineapples."
". . ." (Bonnie stopped crying and was looking at you surprised.)
("And the last one is. . .") "Samosas!"
". . . But. . . But what samosas?" (They pouted.) "Yeah!! I bet you don't even know that!!! Which samosas are my favorite!! Stupid!!!"
("Is it samosas. . .") "Without cheese and with potatoes?"
(They were just, staring at you, shocked. Just like before.) "Y-yeah. . . Those are, are my favorite foods."
(Yes!!! Still got it!!!)
"You. . . Do pay attention to me?" (They looked away, wiping away some tears.) "No that's stupid, of course you do. Or else you wouldn't have. . ."
(. . . Wait, what happens now?)
". . ." (They looked away still, thinking for a second. Then they huffed, turning to you.) "Okay. Maybe we could make it out of tomorrow."
(Bonnie paused again.) ". . . Hey 'Frin, I know you wont be able to fight tomorrow, so, maybe you could, help me how to fight."
(What? This, still is working?!?) "U-uh! I mean, I can't exactly show you right now-"
"I know that!! Dummy!!! I mean just give me some things to know or what to do or something!!"
"Well. . ." (Hmm, okay, maybe this could work, but. . .) "Okay, it's a bit late in the day though."
"Aw Crab." (Bonnie pouted, looking at the food they were cooking.) "Stupid."
(Oh well, there's always a next time. Maybe if you bring this up earlier in the day. . .) "But I know you're going to do great, okay?"
"Okay. . ."
". . . Hey, breathe with me, okay?"
"Uh, okay?"
(You said it on autopilot honestly. But you roll with it, you and Bonnie breathe in. . . And Out. . .)
". . . All good?" (You ask Bonnie. They nod.)
"Uh huh."
(. . . . . . This is awkward.)
". . . Don't burn the food!"
"CRAB!!!"
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
"Sif. . . Hey. . . Hey Sif. Siffrin. Siffarooni."
(Isabeau was whispering your name. It was like the other nights, comforting. In a way.)
(You were lying in bed. Staring at the celing. You couldn't sleep. Your mind had been racing with what to do, thinking up ideas, ways to get through the house, ways to survive.)
(You turn your head to look at Isabeau.)
"Uhm. . . Sorry? Are you doing okay?" (He asks. Alright, a bit differen't.) "Too hot? Uncomfortable?"
(You softly laugh.) "I wouldn't know."
"O-oh, right." (He looks away, sheepish.) "Sorry."
(Not being able to feel anything had been even more inconvenient than you thought. You couldn't feel if you were too hot, too cold, hurt, anything.)
"C-can, I check?"
(You nod. Isabeau reaches out a hand puts a hand on your forhead. You try not to wince, and try to savor it. He takes his hand back.)
"You don't feel hot, but, maybe, if you need anything I'll get it okay?"
(You smile.) "I'm fine, Isa."
"O-okay. . ." (He looks away.) ". . . I. . . Wanted to. . ."
("To tell you something.")
(Isa pauses, as he always did.) ". . . Wanted to tell you, something."
"The thing I wanted to tell you. . . . Is. . . . . That. . . . ."
"I. . . ."
("Don't have anything to tell you right now.")
"I. . ." (He pauses.) ". . . I . . . I won't leave, okay?"
(HUH?!?!?!??!) "W-what-?"
"I-I mean!" (He tries to keep his voice down. Looking to the side, nervous.) "I mean, I, I won't go untill you're better, okay? E-even after, after we beat the King, okay?"
(That's. . .) "Isa. . ."
(You look at him, he's, so bashful. Embaressed. He turned to look at you, smiling.)
"Hey, everything okay?" (Huh?!? That was Bonnie's voice. Usually Isa would get a faceful of pillow right now. You turn your head to look.)
"'Frin okay?" (They were wipping the sleep from their eyes, Mira had sat up too.)
"I-if you need anything, or anything's wrong, or-" (She asks, calmly.)
"H-hey I said I could be on Siffrin duty, don't worry!" (Isa replied.) "Promise!"
"I-I just wanted to make sure-"
"Let Siffrin sleep." (Odile spoke up, finally.) "And let me sleep too, frankly, otherwise I might wake up cranky. You do not want to see me cranky."
"Sorry."
"Sorry, m'dame."
"S-sorry. . ."
(They all get tucked into bed again. You turn back to Isabeau. He's looking at you, sheepish, like before. But, then he smiles. A big, biiiig smile. You smile back.)
(Finally. . . You're starting to feel sleepy.)
As the wind blows, remember that I'll come home to you.
started listening to "No Choice" by Fly By Midnight and this happened :')
March x Gender Neutral Adventurer/Farmer
-0-
You had to leave.
You didn't want to, of course you didn't, but you had to.
You were an adventurer first before you became a farmer, before you decided it was time to leave the thrill of adventure. To let your body rest, to abandon the horrors that you've seen in your years on the road and settle into this little town.
The life you had built here was nice, far nicer than you ever expected it would. You made friends, you found community. You were settling down.
But you, of all people, knew it wasn't going to last.
The missive arrived days after the last snowfall of spring. You thought it was another mail from Adeline or another letter from Errol asking to meet you and Eiland at the museum. Or maybe it was from March - you hoped it was - telling you that your ass better be at the inn that night.
A chill ran down your spine when you opened the mailbox. A single envelope sat inside, snug, the golden filigree emblazoned over the plush red on the quality paper glinted once the sunlight You didn't have to see the seal, didn't have to see the signature. Didn't have to see to know the colors of your guild.
But you were retired, right? You made sure of that. Made sure that you were off the ledgers, made sure that you would no longer be contacted.
And yet here it was, the ghosts of your past sitting prettily in the mailbox on the land that you so carefully tended.
There was a punch in your gut, a deep clutch at the pit of your stomach. You didn't want to open the envelope. Felt you already know what it said. But you did. You had to.
And felt your heart ice over.
Aldaria was at war. Every soldier, every adventurer within the central kingdom's guilds, every able combatant, retired or otherwise, are required to go to the frontlines.
No one is exempted.
Those who are to run will be deemed as traitors to the Crown and will be put to death.
Fuck.
-0-
The grief of it hit you quickly.
So much that you sat at the stone bench, one that you placed by Caldarus. You didn't think you could talk, didn't think you could form any of the words. Caldarus didn't pry. You thought he could sense what it was, anyway.
You didn't know how much time passed by. Didn't care. Not even hunger, not even the rain.
You had to leave. Immediately.
Adeline and Eiland were horrified. Elsie was rendered speechless. All of you were in tears.
You packed up quickly. It wasn't as if you had a lot of belongings, anyway, even though you've already spent several months here in Mistria. It had to be quick, it had to be soon, as your heart couldn't take it anymore.
The goodbyes were the most difficult of it. More tears, more fear. Hugs, promises to come back.
But you couldn't quite look at everyone in the eye. One person, at the back of the inn, just staring. Dark, dark eyes devoid of emotion. You noticed that his drink remained untouched, his food already cold. You didn't want to say goodbye, not to him. But you needed to.
You took him aside late into the night. His body was rigid, his eyes ice cold.
"I'm sorry," you whispered, tried for a weak smile. "I guess you're right. I didn't even reach winter."
"Don't." His voice was hard, shaky. "Don't fucking blame yourself for this."
"March, I-"
He grabbed your shoulders, hard, looked directly into your eyes. "Don't die,' he murmured. "And come back when this is all done. Are we clear?"
The silence descended upon both of you as you stared at each other. Sighed. Weakly smiled.
"Clear."
And you knew, neither of you wanted to think of that promise being broken.
-0-
The day you left was a particularly rainy day.
Mistria was quiet, as if the joyous energy that usually engulfed the town was washed clean.
People tried to resume their routines, their normal, but watching you leave on horseback, alone while getting soaked, was one of the most difficult sights most of them had in recent years. And yet life has to move on. Days, weeks, months had to pass.
March was not handling it well.
He managed to easily slide back into routine. Being a tradesman, the work was never-ending, especially since he decided to expand their enterprise by accepting orders from the other surrounding towns.
It made sense to expand, especially since Mistria already rose up the ranks quickly in the months the farmer was here. Wartime was an opportunity for more profits. Times were changing and he had to catch up.
(And it wasn't because he just wanted the work to keep his mind off of you.)
Every hit of the hammer to the anvil was a second that he wasn't thinking about you.
Every nail, every screw, every project was something to keep your smile, the crinkle of delight in your eye when you give him another gift, the way the sunlight streaked your hair, out of his mind.
He didn't want to smell your scent the moment he picks up the blanket you made him. He didn't want to think about you when he eats something that you liked. He didn't want to remember the feeling of you, all the curves and angles of your body, the callouses of your hands, the scars that littered your body. He didn't want to see even the barest of glimpses of you in his dreams.
And yet he couldn't escape it. Couldn't escape the way his heart weighed him down. Couldn't escape the dull thrum of longing at the back of his head.
So he worked.
And worked.
And worked no matter how much Olric told him to take a break. No matter how much his body screamed at him to stop. Not even when Valen put her foot down and demanded he rest.
Because his hand shook when he struck that hammer. His breath hitched when he stepped away from the anvil. Because his eyes teared up when his back hit against the wall when the entirety of you consumed him, assaulted his senses, his memory.
"Fuck!"
He threw his hammer down as he crumpled to the ground, shoving his head into his lap as he breathed in the way you showed him how.
When were you coming back? He just wanted you back.
-0-
They were keeping up with the current events, of course.
It was slow all around, as messengers didn't always come or the roads were blocked off. But Balor, through his contacts, made sure that Mistria got the news as soon as possible.
The North Everett Garrison fell to the enemy a week ago and proved a heavy blow to the kingdom. Massive body counts on both sides. No news yet on those who fell.
They hoped, prayed, that you weren't there. That you weren't one of the ones who died. That you were still alive and well.
It's been over a year since you left and they still hoped.
It was three weeks after the news that another messenger arrived.
March snarled when the knock on the door came. The shop was closed, goddammit. Why can't people just leave him the fuck alone? He shoved open the door, stopped when Adeline and Eiland stood outside.
Dread pooled at the base of his stomach, his body crumbling into a cold sweat. In Adeline's hand was a familiar helmet. The perfect, silver helmet that he made for you over a year ago.
-0-
They said they couldn't find you.
When the garrison fell, it was immediately reclaimed by the arriving forces. For days, the soldiers and holy people recovered and identified the dead.
But there was nothing else that they could find of you. They only found the helmet, damaged and bloody, with March's trademark on it. By the time the forces managed to collect as much as they could, you were listed as one of the missing, potentially (probably) dead.
It was enough to send him into a spiral.
March hasn't left his room in days. The meals Olric left by his door barely touched. For days he held the helmet, his hands raw from keeping it close and tight to his chest.
His usual proud eyes were dull, the shine of it diminishing slowly ever since you left. It wasn't fair. It just wasn't fair. This was supposed to be your start at a new life, a new beginning. He saw the grief in your eyes when you first moved in. He saw the twitchiness. He saw the strain. And he saw the way you let the shadows of your past eventually fall.
Only to be thrown back again against your will.
He couldn't feel anything. Just that steady throbbing, the heavy pulling of his heart down, down, to the depths of his despair. Couldn't feel the sunlight that streamed through his window. Couldn't feel the cold of the stone floor. Could barely feel the weight of the helmet on his lap.
Time didn't exist anymore. Every single breath he took was like inhaling shattered glass. The world seemed to have lost all color.
"March?"
"Go away, Olric."
"It's not Olric."
He whipped his head back, confusion marring itself on his face. With effort, he hauled himself off of the ground.
Opened the door.
It's been a while since you've seen him.
He's a bit thinner, a little gaunt, which worried you. A shadow of a beard rested on his face as he stood there, wide eyed, as he held your helmet in his hands.
He was just as handsome as you remembered him to be. You smiled.
"Hey, March."
He had you in his arms not one second later. You felt the shudder run through his body as his strong hands pulled you tight into his embrace. This was something that you dreamed off, the one thing that pushed you through, pushed you to survive. The thought of coming back to him was the light in your darkest days.
"March-"
"Quiet."
He took his time with you. Embracing you. Taking in your scent, memorizing your body once again. You had new scars, new injuries. But he doesn't care.
You were here and that's what mattered.
"March," you murmured as you buried you face into his shoulder, your bandaged hands digging into him like a vice. "I'm home."
He breathed in, sobbed out a sigh. Smiled.
"Welcome home, farmer."
Good People (Platonic)
Tumblr media
Summary: While in the Wasteland, running on nothing but fumes and even less hope, you meet someone. Someone who might just be the one thing you need in a place like this: a friend.
Note: This is shorter than my usual stuff (both in terms of words, probably, and also just in terms of content - more so a scene than anything else; maybe a series of short scenes showing Lucy's arc if you guys want and how her friendship with Y/N develops?) Let me know in an ask!
You were a survivor. You had been since the moment you were born, but you weren't sure how much longer that was going to last.
Your day hadn't started off good, you see. You were running out of water and had passed out earlier due to some kind of infection - no idea what it was or who/what it was from, you had come across a lot of beings and things in your travels - and some guy had thought you were dead and even pissed on you just in case. Was not refreshing, or nice.
You had fought him off, tackling him to the floor and punching him quite a few times. You didn't kill him, however. You just left him be after that.
An odd fellow with a briefcase who promise you everything you could ever want passed you by. He gave you something that gave you a boost. You had no caps, so the only piece of fluid you had left on you - your water container - was given to him in exchange for this item.
So, now you were even more screwed then before.
The man even seemed to somewhat pity you, but he still left.
You find an abandoned bus. It's been picked, recently or otherwise doesn't really matter, picked clean is picked clean. Or, well, as clean as you can get within the apocalypse.
"Hello?" a voice says. You spin around, reaching for a weapon you don't have as you lost it in the scuffle before, and so instead duck down - hitting your head on one of the seats.
You hear the person outside cringe.
"Sorry," she says, earnestly to your shock, "that sounded like it hurt."
"...It did," you find yourself saying in reply, but still keep your head done.
"Sorry," she says, again, "it's ok," she assures you, "I won't hurt you. I promise."
You peak your head up. The first thing you notice, is how clean she looks. She gives you a bright smile.
"Hi," she says, enthusiastically.
You just blink at her.
"It's ok," she assures again, "my weapon is away. I just - I just wanna talk. I'm a bit lost out here give, you know, everything is mainly just sand."
You guess that's fair. So, against your better judgment, you make your way to the stairs at the bus, and sit down. The woman sits down, letting out a sigh, glad to be able to rest for a moment.
She stretches. You adjust your neck. You must've slept funny.
"I'm Lucy," she says, holding out a hand to you.
"Y/N," you say, shaking her hand. Feels weird, being this open with someone.
"Y/N," she says, "that's a nice name. I never knew someone called Y/N before."
You're about to ask her why, when you see what she's wearing.
You whistle, or as best you can with a dry throat, it's croaky but the idea comes through, "you one of them Vault Dwellers?"
"I am," she says, and you're unsure if it's a proud statement or not, "but, I do also recognise my privilege for being one."
You hum, "how you finding up here?"
"Hot," she says, "we have air conditioning in the vaults. So, it's weird not being able to just turn down the temperature."
You chuckle. She smiles.
"Thank you for not trying to kill me."
You gesture to yourself, "don't exactly have anything to do that with, you know? Besides, you're not a bad person. I've met some bad people, you ain't one of them."
"Thank you. I knew there were good people out here."
You shrug, "I don't think I'm exactly 'good', but I've known worse."
"Well, I'm glad I've run into you. You're alot nicer than the previous man I met."
"Yeah, there'll be people like that..." you pause, then ask the question on your mind, "what brings you top side, Lucy?"
"Oh," there's a hint of hope, mixed with sadness in her eyes while she answers, "I'm looking for my dad. Some horrible woman called Moldaver took him. She steals dads."
You may internally find that last part funny, but you find yourself saying 'I'm sorry' to her about her plight. She thanks you once again.
"You're not crazy like that other man."
She's blunt, you'll give her that.
"I can be," you don't quite know why you're insulted by it.
She cocks her head to the side, "I'm good at reading people," you aren’t sure on that one, but you don't say anything, "and you're not like that previous man."
"What'd he do?"
"Drank most of my water. You ever met anyone like that?"
"Guy pissed on me this morning. Another stole my canteen."
"Oh..." Lucy says. You nod, expecting this to be the end of your conversion, but then she reaches behind herself for something. Instinct makes you freeze, but she just gives you a reassuring smile once again, and holds something out to you.
Her own canteen.
You look at her, doubt, confusion, and thanks all in your eyes at once.
"Take it," she insists, shaking it a little to tell you that there is still water inside it, "I mean it."
"But, that other man --"
"He's greedy. You aren't. And, judging by your lips, rough voice, inability to whistle, and slight grovel to your voice, and the way you hold yourself," perceptive too, "you need this more than I do."
"You sure?" she nods. Hesitantly, looking from her to the canteen as you reach out - her leaning forward to help you with your lack of energy due to dehydration and all - you grab it. It's not harsh, you don't rip it out of her grasp. Your actions are slow, deliberate.
You open it, and lift it up to your mouth, letting a few water droplets hit it.
You close it and give it back to her. But she pushes it to you again. This goes on a few more times.
"I meant what I said," she says, "take it."
You look around at the desert, "next water well won't be for a while."
She shrugs, "there's a town nearby. There should be some there. But, either way, you need this a lot more than I do."
You drink the rest of it. And, you feel ok. Not great, but better.
You cough a bit. Both due to whatever illness you have, and just from the water and how fast you drank it.
"That's a bad cough," she notes, taking the canteen back.
"Ah, it's nothing," you say, waving her off. Had worse infections.
You stand up, and she holds her hands out in case you fall. You put a hand up, telling her you're ok.
"Well," you say, "thank you for that, and the talk. Good people are few and far between. Best of luck --"
"Hey, wait!" she calls out as you start to walk away, "wait, please. Maybe - maybe you can help me."
"I ain't exactly much help given the lack of weapons, strength, and my illness."
She frowns, "well, once we find my dad, we can go back to my vault, we have doctors there who can help you and give you a good meal!"
She's preppy, but soon that softens in her eyes, "please...I can stop people from...urinating on you."
You snort at her disgust of the language. She has a lot to learn. Social ettiquite may exist in some places in the wasteland, but not everywhere.
"Well, when you put it like that..." you say, before smiling. She beams at you.
"Okey Dokey!" she exclaims.
"Okey Dokey!" you find yourself saying in kind, not mocking for once - you and your mouth had gotten you into trouble before, it was nice to not have some agenda with it this time. To let your guard down.
"Have you ever been to Filly before?" she asks you as you walk side by side. Though, she slows up a bit as you try and both get your strength back and keep your remaining bit.
"Once or twice when passing through," you say.
"Alrighty then," she says, glad to not be going in completely blind, "'this is going to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.'" she says to you, clearly quoting something, based on her voice. You look at her confused.
"I'll show you the film when we're back at the vault," she says, before you continue on your way.
It's good to meet someone who didn't want to kill you on sight or extort you or something.
It was nice to not be alone anymore.
Lucy feels the same way. She has a sort of guide now. A friend.
An actual friend from the outside.
She's glad.
And, little did she know how right she'd be. It would be a friendship that would stand the test of time and everything in between.
Lucy had just met her best friend.
You had met yours.
Even if you both didn't know just how dark and dangerous the road ahead would get...
Overworked.
°•~《☆》~•°
Pairing: Leo valdez x gn!reader
A/n: Sorry for not posting a fic in awhile, I got a huge wave of demotivation (I'm also running a jason grace rp blog ( @jason-the-kabob ) )
Warnings: nothing!
Enjoy!
°•~《☆》~•°
When you walked into bunker 9, all you saw was a mad house.
Empty soda cans littering the floor, screws, scrap metal, and tools. Anything you would find in a hephestus kids' hands was littered around Leo Valdez's workspace in Bunker 9.
"Leo?" You called out after not seeing him in his usual seat. The reason you came into bunker 9 was to find leo after he missed lunch for the 4th time this week.
"Over...over here!" You heard his familiar voice call out. He sounded tired, worn down, frantic even.
You frown as you walk over to the source of Leo's call, where you find him rummaging through scrap pieces of metal and other machinery while mumbling under his breath.
"Uh, Leo? ... I brought you food." You said, your concern increasing with every mumble that escaped his lips.
"Yeah, yeah... thank you, I'll eat it later." Leo mumbled like he was in a trance. You were 95% sure he was going to forget about it until he accidently knocks it over.
You set down the plate of food on a nearby work table and grabbed Leo's arm to steer his gaze towards you.
Leo turned to meet your eyes. You saw the bags under his own half-lidded eyes and the pure exhaustion in them.
You immediately knew he needed rest. No matter how much he'll say 'he's fine' and 'doesn't need it'. Leo Valdez will be taking a nap, even if you have to knock him out.
"Leo." You said, your tone serious and yet concerned. Leo hummed in response, his attention focused only on you. Or at least, his eyes were solely focused on you. His hands were fidgeting with a piece of scrap machinery and metal.
"You need rest. You haven't slept in awhile—and dont try lying and saying you fell asleep while you were working, that does not count, Leo Valdez." You told him, looking him dead in the eye to try and get you point across.
Leo huffed and started on a ramble. "But—but i have so much stuff to get done! The demigod-safe phones, i-i just need to tweak a few things and then i promise I'll—"
You grabbed his chin, your face inches from leos, putting him in enough temporary shock to get him to stop talking. You could feel his breath spreading over your face.
"Sleep." Was all you said.
Leo whined but gave in.
He sleepily stumbled over to his couch in the corner of bunker nine which was covered in both pillows and blankets, plopping down on his back with a loud 'mmph!'
Leo looked to you with pleading eyes, and you knew what was coming next. You wished you would've left as soon as he hit the couch.
Leo made these grabby-grabby hands towards you with a whine.
"Cuddleeeee." He whimpered.
"Leo, this is why there are rumors spreading around camp about us having an affair or something."
"I don't care. C'mere or I'm not sleeping."
"Your siblings will find us here. They'll–"
"C'mereeee."
Well, you weren't just gonna let him die of exhaustion.
With a dramatic groan, you walked over to Leo, who was laying comfortably with half-lidded eyes and waiting for you to join him.
You sighed deeply before plopping down onto Leo's chest and wrapping your arms around his torso.
Leo's embrace was rather... warm. It was comforting, like how a home should feel.
Leo wrapped his arms carefully around you, tracing circles around your back. You shivered at the soft, yet hot touch.
You're a little glad you didn't leave so soon.
This was nicer than you expected.
You carefully nuzzled up into Leo's neck, triggering a shiver out of him.
Gods, he was so warm. Why was he so comfy? It seems a little abnormal to feel this much like a home.
"Maybe," Leo spoke all of a sudden, though his voice was quiet and sleepy.
"Maybe this should happen more often." He whispered.
You took In his words, slowly memorizing the way he pronounced every word subconsciously.
"...maybe. though, you shouldn't be one step into the grave next time." You retorted back, a little... relived he was just as eager for other moments like this.
You had never been more peaceful.
Leo chuckled. "Alright, alright. I'll take better care of myself. For you, love." He whispered into your ear, his breath hot against you.
"You...you better." You mumbled, a little thrown of course by the petname. You snuggled into him further like it was the only thing keeping the both of you alive.
Leo only chuckled, but you knew the truth.
On the inside, he was estatic to have this with you again.
And maybe, just maybe, something more.
Finally, I finished a little blurb :)
Breakfast
Continuation of "Weak Little Thing", where Stan starts to get things ready for the twins to live with him and Ford full-time.
Tomorrow, apparently, meant eight o'clock in the morning.
Ford wasn't ready. Mostly because he hadn't slept a wink.
He had spent thirty years on the run in the multiverse, a type of situation that was more catnaps and eating scraps. He found himself flinching at every odd noise, ready to get up and move. There was also the fear of Bill trying to reach out to him again, hoping that he would ignore the brief few minutes he spent in the Nightmare Realm. Or not, because Bill's logic was weird like that.
And, well...
"Here," Stanley said, interrupting his thoughts of being called a con man. He set down what looked to be a pretty delicious breakfast of biscuits and gravy, paired with fruit juice and milk. In front of his and Ford's seats, he set down steaming cups of coffee. "Breakfast."
"Wow," his great-niece- he was pretty sure her name started with M- gasped. "Grunkle Stan, this is way nicer than usual!"
His great-nephew, the one who kept threatening to be sick, raised a brow. "Is this so we forget about everything that happened yesterday?"
"No," Stan said, grabbing some forks. Three of them, actually. Ford opened his mouth, ready to call it out, until Stan nodded his head. Ford followed his nod and realized that his nephew looked weirdly pale at the sight of them. He took his spoon with a quiet thanks. "This is because I'm going to have to be pretty honest about a lot of heavy stuff, and I at least want you guys to have a good breakfast."
The kids exchanged looks. Neither of them made a move for the food. "Okay," his niece said. "What about?"
Stanley took a sip of his coffee, his eyes hollow and distant. "Okay," he said. "You guys...know why you're staying with me for the summer, right?"
"Because our parents wanted us to get some fresh air," his nephew (he really needed to learn their names) said. The words sounded hollow and false. Ford wouldn't be surprised if that was the lie that had been told to them.
"Yeah, yeah, that's true," Stanley sipped his coffee even more. "You two also know your parents are going through a bit of a rough patch." He tensed and Ford could see anger blazing in his eyes. Not at the kid, but at their parents.
Ford couldn't blame them. Were they really not telling their kids themselves?
"They're getting divorced, aren't they?" His great-nephew's voice was hollow. "They're not just talking to lawyers and counselors anymore. They've started actually going through it." His great-niece went stiff, eyes big and watery.
"Oh, pumpkin-" Ford jolted more at the pet name than the rush of motion that was his niece rushing from her spot to curl up in Stanley's arms. He wrapped his arms around her quickly, his hand gently rubbing her back. "I promise, they both love you so much. They didn't want you two getting stuck in the middle, so they've decided that, until the divorce case is over, you two would be living with me here in town."
"But-" his niece gasped, pulling her face away. "You were gonna send us back when you lost the Shack? Doesn't that mean-"
"You were gonna be sent to Florida to hang out with Grandpa Shermie," Stanley said, unaware of Ford gaping at lost the Shack.
"Is the case dragging out because of us?" his nephew asked, his face blank of emotion. "They aren't going to try and separate us for custody, are they?"
"No," Stan said, his voice firm. "Absolutely not. That's the one thing they're agreeing on. I'm not sure if that will drag the case out or not, since it hasn't started yet." He patted his niece's back. "In any case, we need to talk about full-time house rules, especially when school starts." He turned his gaze to his niece, an attempt at a smile forming. "You get to go to the same school Candy and Grenda attend, Mabel."
His niece- Mabel, right- sniffled and looked up. "Do Wendy and her friends also go there?"
"Yeah," Stanley said. "I wouldn't be surprised." He gently made a pushing motion and Mabel hopped off his lap to head back to her seat. Her eyes were still watery, but a little smile was trying to pull at her face. Her twin reached out and squeezed her hand when she sat down and that smile became firmer. "Now, we were gonna discuss rules now during breakfast, but I think it's better that we wait till lunch. I need to make appointments at the doctor's office for all three of you and I want that set in stone first."
Wait. "Three of you?" Ford repeated. "Don't you need appointments for just the kids?"
Stan turned his head and stared him down.
"...oh."
Hello! I love your writing! May I request some fluff with Kid, Killer, Mihawk, and Buggy where their s/o who has little cooking experience tries to surprise them by cooking something for them? Whether the food be good or bad is up to you! Thank you and have a good day!
Hi hi! Sure, always up for some fluff and I'm so happy to receive a request with Killer, I love this guy. ♡ Thank you so much for requesting. I hope the outcome will match your expectations. ☆
☆ Kid, Killer, Mihawk & Buggy with a s/o who has little cooking experience
Kid
"It looks like shit. I won't put that in my mouth."
Kid is a sassy brat because this man is able to burn the water. Spaghetti with garlic, oil, and red pepper flakes is probably the only thing he can cook. Yes, Killer's favorite food. But he won't ever admit that he learned that just for Killer, obviously. He needs to keep his jaggy-attitude, as the good angry punk he is.
Kid knows you have little cooking experience and had tried to eat what you cooked, but he ended up almost suffocating and dying on the ground. He made a promise to himself to only eat Killer's food. And we all know Kid is stubborn. He won't change his mind: you almost killed him, he will never eat your food again.
But then, he notices your sad face, wet puppy eyes and all the effort you put into the meal. And, it’s his favorite food: cabbage rolls. Okay, now his heart is melting, but of course, he won’t admit it.
"Well. It looks like shit but… it doesn't smell that bad." With a heavy sigh, he rolls his eyes and sniffs the plate like a fearful dog.
He stares at you, suspicious, before planting his fingers on the cabbage rolls, watching if there are no bugs or whatever. Yes, he's been suspicious, petty, and he doesn't give a damn. "It looks… okay I guess."
Actually, he's confused. That food looks like it's comestible. Perhaps it's a trap. He should wait for Killer to taste it first. Or just stuff those cabbage rolls into your mouth: if you don't die or cough, maybe he'll try it.
"You know, if I die because of this food, I'll come back to life to avenge myself," before grabbing the cabbage rolls and eating an extremely small slice.
He's sweating, convinced that the nice appearance won't make up for the terrible taste. But… actually… it's… good. Like, he's not dying or suffocating on the ground. He doesn't even need to go to the nearest bathroom.
"Can I have some more?" After eating the whole plate and almost licking it like a starving person. He doesn't like to give compliments, but do you remember the scene at Udon camp where he was eating? Right now, it's him. So clearly, he likes what you cooked.
Kid is not a man many words and "thank you" doesn't exist in his dictionary. Although he would notice all the efforts you made and even the cuts on your fingers, the words are simply stuck in his throat. But, he would kiss your forehead and smear his lipstick on it. And later, he would leave a handmade metal gift of your favorite flower or animal, as a 'thank you'. Gifts are a way for Kid to show his love.
"You know what, I've changed my mind. Now I'll also eat your food." With his usual gruff voice and a flustered expression.
Tumblr media
Killer
Killer is way nicer than his captain. Quality time is definitely his love language. So if you cook something for both of you, he's honored, truly happy and probably melting inside. The outcome doesn't matter that much. The intention already means a lot to him.
Let’s assume the outcome is not that good.
"Hm, Y/N, that seems… interesting. Really al dente." While observing the carbonized pasta.
Even without his mask, he's good at hiding his expressions. He's probably laughing because of the SMILE, but actually he wants to cry. He feels truly happy when you try your hardest just for him, but on the flipside, he knows it won't taste good.
Why him? Is dealing with a brat like Kid not enough for his poor soul?
If he gets sick from this food, who will keep an eye on Kid? He can't take a break with that hot-headed captain. Otherwise, the crew is doomed.
But he wants to please you, so he will taste it. And even finish the entire plate. Even if it was bad. You tried your best, just for him, all he can do is finish his food. However, he is not dishonest. "That wasn't very tasty, sweetie... But you tried your best to please me, thank you for your time. Maybe we can cook together the next time? I'll teach you some tips."
Finally, it's a win-win situation: thanks to your limited cooking experience, he has a good reason to spend more time with you. He’s already excited to teach you some recipe.
And as the educated guy he's, Killer will of course make the dishes himself, clean up the kitchen and thank you with a soft kiss on the corner of your lips. So now his purple lipstick is smeared on your face.
"I need to finish my work… I'll see you tonight. Thank you again for the meal, sweetie."
Casually walking through the door and once he's out of your view, he would run to the bathroom because he's getting sick.
"Ugh, you did that to yourself" (thank you for the support, Kid)
Mihawk
What a nice surprise to be welcomed with a beautiful table, his s/o well-dressed, red wine and some refined food. After dealing with Perona and Zoro all day, he only needs that.
Mihawk's high standards mean that if the food is looking great, it's a good sign. He would never approach anything that looks bad.
He knows that you may not have much cooking experience, but practice can help you make progress, right? Although the last time wasn't good, you can only improve yourself. Right? Right?
At least, if he dies from intoxication, the coffin will already be ready, thanks to his ship.
"Come share that wine with me, don't stay standing like this." While serving you a glass of red wine.
He's a bit suspicious about the food. Even though the meal may be nice, it doesn't guarantee it's good and tasty.
He's discreetly taking a sniff of the food. He has good manners, unlike those two brats, so he won’t make it obvious.
"Come sit with me and we can taste it together."
With his hawk eyes, he's looking at you and waiting for you to eat the food first. He's really observant, so he would notice all your expressions, even the most subtle ones. As your face shows no signs of disgust, then he would eat.
And its taste really good. Although it may not be the most refined, given his high-standard, it's tasty, comestible, and well-matched to the wine. The most important thing for him. You can't waste a good wine with a bad dinner.
"You really outdid yourself, that was perfect. I’m grateful."
Again, not a man of many words, but with his good manners, he would help you clean the dishes. Before returning to his duties (meaning: watching the kids), he would lend you his hat. This is a simple gift and a subtle way to say 'thank you'.
Tumblr media
Buggy
"What, you did that for me? Why…? I mean, of course, you cook for me. What more normal? I'm the great Buggy after all."
He's feeling quite confused inside. Outside, he's acting as cocky and extravagant as he always has. After all, what’s more typical for the great Buggy to be served with a great meal? That's the minimum he deserves.
"Alright, let's eat it!" Before stuffing a huge amount of food in his mouth. And almost threw it back onto the plate. It's… foul.
"Y/N, WAS OUR RELATIONSHIP A LIE THE WHOLE TIME? WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME?"
Really? What has he done wrong? Did he leave his makeup everywhere again? Or his clothes? Or maybe it's because he forgot to put down the toilet seat. Or... wait a second... there is red on the plate... red tomatoes… like his nose... are you making fun of him? How dare you? Yes, he's overthinking.
"That's a betrayal, I'm dying... I'm dead."
He's yelling and gesticulating wildly, and his face almost turns green due to the awful taste, but also red due to his anger.
He’s dramatically angry, of course.
"Listen everyone! y/n is trying to KILL me!"
The room is empty but okay Buggy.
He's exaggerating too much, it's not that bad. But here he is, rolling on the floor, holding his stomach, fainting. And as the drama queen, he is, of course, he’s using his devil fruit to fragment his bodies. "I'm so traumatized that I'm TORN apart."
When he notices your sadness, he shrugs.
"Ugh, Y/N, you know, maybe it was just the first slice…" he would say before giving one more chance to your plate. No, it's still bad.
"That's a masterpiece, Y/N. I'm in heaven." While trying to hide his tears. "So tasty!"Yes, he's trying to please you, because maybe he overreacted before and maybe he feels bad because you were sad.
But Buggy is way too loud and clumsy, he sucks with comedy. It's obvious that he's lying.
"That's fine, don't force yourself Buggy."
"Really? So our relationship wasn't a complete lie? Thank you Y/N, I love… I mean, what are you saying? I wasn't forcing myself, I'm the great Buggy, duh, no one can force me."
THE SHORE HAD BECOME tiny after yourself and Tuk had swam such a great distance to reach the destination. At first you'd grown worried about going so far, even with your skills you didn't want her to tire out halfway through, but was graciously surprised when Tuk showed little sign of discomfort or distress. Simply enjoying the delicious food and scenery around her. "Tuktirey do not fear the waves as you swim." You held a steady grasp to Tuk's hand, providing some stability as she attempted to stay afloat comfortably as you did. "The harder you fight, the harder swimming will be."
Tuk let out a strong huff of frustration, "I only want to swim like you ____!" You laugh aloud at her inexperience, "most fyeyn in the clan can not swim half as well as me Tuktirey. Do not worry yourself so much." Tuk seemed to calm at the realization she was not lacking in skill, just you had an over abundance of it. "Woah, really!" You nodded, soon diving your head below the water in order to pick a ripe fruit from its underwater vine. "In truth Tuktirey, you are doing very well—even more so than your older siblings! Truly something only a strong warrior can accomplish.”
fyeyn - adult
She became silent at your words for a moment before speaking once more, "why do you call me that ____? I have never went into battle before like Neteyam and Lo'ak..." Tuk's head lowered slightly, a mix of sadness and anger playing on her features, all directed towards herself. You'd broken the fruit apart, placing its inside contents to her lips. "Being a warrior is not only about fighting. One can be a warrior of many things." Tuk took the fruit into her mouth, looking at you curiously. "Take me, I am a warrior of the water, and you—"
"You are a warrior of great courage. Not many are able to travel so far and stray from everything they've known, especially at your age."
"So...I am a warrior! More than Lo'ak, and Neteyam." Tuk's eyes gleamed with excitement, her arms moving to latch themselves around your neck. "____, if you know all this—can't you be nicer to everyone else?"
The question through you for a loop, but you came to understand why she'd ask this of you. Her family most likely spoke about you amongst themselves, no, you're positive they do, and she heard every word of it. Admittedly you did have your favorite out of the family, and to everyone else, the difference was noticeable. Though you still thought your actions of precaution were just, maybe at some points you took things too far. "I apologize Tuktirey, I've acted immaturely up until now."
"Pänutìng you won't be mean anymore!" Her bottom lip quivered ever so slight, in a silent plea. Wrapping an arm around your middle, you started swimming towards shore with ease despite the added weight. "I pänuting Tuktirey, kindness and respect shall be shown to your family by me from now on."
pänuting - promise
Tumblr media
Eclipse over took the sky's bright and shining blues, now exchanging them for dark contrasting purples lined with thousands of stars. Both you and Tuk admired Eywa's enchanting sky view causing your voyage to take much longer than intended. Upon arrival, you notice the Sully's in their usual circle—minus one of course, deciding that your distance was close enough. "I'm afraid this is where we part ways young warrior."
"Come join us for dinner, they won't mind trust me!" Tuk began pulling you closer towards her home, you retracted yourself from her surprisingly vice grip on your arm. "No Tuktirey, I must leave for home myself soon—may eywa grant you peace."
"Goodnight ____." Tuk's pace turned into a fast jog as she approached her family's marui, "see you tomorrow!" You watched as she was immediately greeted by the others, showered with affection after she'd technically disappeared for nearly an entire day, cooing you watched the scene only a moment before the ocean called out your name in whisperers. Allowing herself to sucome to Eywa's waters.
Neteyam soon departed from his shared marui pod, eyes scanning around the dark in search of something—or rather—someone. Ah, he thinks, there you are. "Neteyam? What are you doing, sit. Dinner will be fixed soon." He paused at the entrance, with half his body already out, Neteyam turned to look at his mother pleadingly. "Uh, I'll be back soon, don't wait to eat."
Venturing out of his home at a rather quickened pace, Neteyam nearly tripped over himself to get to you, praying that the slip up went unnoticed.  "____" He called softly, possible the softest he ever would to anyone, so much he'd doubt you'd heard him.
Your ear twitched—you heard him— but the rest of your body remained unmoving. You'd submerge yourself barely waist length into the water, your arms outstretched to feel the bioluminescent squid which swam in circles around you as if you were born one of their own.
Neteyam ungracefully joined alongside by you in the ocean waves that pushed against his body, not only causing him to nearly lose his footing but also scare away your marine life.  "Oh! I truly meant no harm—" You interrupted his apology with a deep groan, silencing yourself by dragging two hands down your face, muffling the next words you spoke. "Eywa give me strength."
He'd really done it now, embarrassing himself not only once but twice in front of you of all na'vi. It's as if he lost all sense in your presence, who could recover from this? "Worry not, brother of Tuktirey, you are not completely to blame for your clumsiness. I am at fault too."
Neteyam lowered his own posture send you a look of surprise, you'd never said something like this to him. "Your sister has made me realize the error of my ways." Your gaze shifted to look towards Neteyam, leaving him breathless simply because of your stare. "I have been unreasonably cruel to you and your family."
Placing a light hand to his shoulder, you wanted Neteyam to understand the truth to your words—your truth. "I am sorry Neteyam."
A toothy grin grew on the younger na'vis face quicker than he could suppress it, an expression of true happiness taking shape. He'd never thought four simple words of an apology would ever make him feel the way he did now, like an opposing force finally released him, now Neteyam felt ten times lighter.
"Irayo ____." Encasing his hand around yours, Neteyam's words were followed by a deep, meaningful silence between the both of you. So much so, you barely took noticed of the lightened squid which not only surrounded yourself but also Neteyam into a circle. What you did take notice of were his round bunny ears, that twitched too often. And every tiny syuratan freckles scattered throughout his face. Your eyes began traveling further than they should've, taking note of his arms, though thin compared to your people, had a thick layer of toned muscle. Wondering the tiniest bit lower revealed a noticeable vline—
irayo - thank you
syuratan - bioluminescence
"I-I don't deserve your thanks," you withdrew your hand from his hold, opting to sway them in the waves. "Tomorrow I will truly teach you the ways of our people, just as I always should have." Neteyam stopped himself from reaching out to hold your limb once again, not wanting to risk losing the new found sympathy, watching while you fully submerged yourself, causing splashes of water to land on him. "Alright. Tomorrow then." He turned to walk back towards the dry surface sand.
"Nìhona unil, ____" Neteyam's smile outshined even thr thousands of stars above you, hoping he wouldn't see your growing nervousness. Simply nodding in response as he walked away.
nìhona - sweet
unil - dreams
You swam with your head atop the waves, enjoying the simple comfort and familiarity of something so known to you—paired with the overwhelming presence of the sky. Tears breamed along your waterline, mixing amidst salty water droplets that already occupied your cheeks. To do this, accepting them, went against the very values you'd built to protect yourself and the clan from your parent's fate. As if you broke some type of taboo by welcoming them with open arms despite knowing their origins.
"Great Mother," you say breathlessly, "guide me well."
For once a number one
(Adam x female!reader)
Tumblr media
A.N: this is purely self indulgent, but I decided to publish this anyway. Hurt-comfort I guess and general fluff, although this is Adam we're talking about, so of course there are swear words and some suggestive stuff.
Please note that english is not my first language, so there might be some mistakes. Also, my Adam is probably ooc.
(Also I suck at beginnings, endings and titles, sorry ><)
You don't even hear him come in.
No wonder, since you are currently blasting his band's music on full volume. Mostly 'Stick it to the man' to be honest; until now it always helped you cheer up and relax a little if you were angry at something or someone. But this time even this wasn't helping. Still you refuse to turn it off because you love your boyfriend's voice and his music (even though you won't ever tell him that, his ego is big enough as it is).
So here you are, laying on the couch with 'Stick it to the Man' blasting in the background, still in your more formal and nicer clothes, not even having the strength to change into more comfy ones, only forcing yourself to take off your boots once you got inside.
Pathetic much.
And so, that's why you almost have a heart attack when the loud music suddenly stops and you hear the voice of your boyfriend, this time talking and standing a few meters away from the couch.
"Heyyy, I see your music taste is still intact, babes! Though if you wanted to hear my singing, you could've just asked me for a private concert. For a price, 'course~."
You don't bother to look up at him, but you can imagine the smug grin on his face and the wiggling of his eyebrows.
To be honest, you thought you had more time until Adam comes home. You didn't want him to see you like this. He never was very good at this 'mushy, sappy emotional shit' (his words). And you really don't have the strength now to deal with his mocking and teasing.
So you just groan in response.
Even though Adam isn't usually really good at reading people and their emotions, your state makes it clear even for him that something is wrong.
"Geez, the fuck is up your ass?" He hisses, walking towards the couch and putting a cold palm on your forehead to check for fever. "You sick or somethin'?"
You, albeit a bit reluctantly, swat his hand away.
"I'm not sick. I have some other problems, you wouldn't understand." You respond, still laying on the couch, pathways made from tears still visible and fresh on your cheeks.
Adam scoffs and puts his hands on his hips.
"Try me, bitch."
You finally look him in the eyes, skeptically.
"Are you really gonna listen to me yap about this? Without cutting me off and mocking me?" Somehow you want him to both go away and stay right beside you.
"You always listen to me when I'm fucking mad at something and need to talk it out." He shrugs. "The least I can do is return the favor for once, since I'm so generous and in a good mood today. Now move your ass."
Adam makes the 'shoo' gesture with his hand, and you move a bit to the side on the couch, making space for him to sit down. Once he plops down on the couch, you put your head in his lap.
"Where to even start." You say in a bit of a sarcastic manner, your voice breaking just a bit once again.
You tell him everything, somehow managing to not break down again during the tale. You tell him how your friend got bored of you when another, seemingly more interesting and fun person than you appeared. How when the tree of you hang out, they paid more attention to the new person, only rarely talking to you and when they did, they were a lot colder towards you. It wasn't fucking fair. You were there longer and you always tried your best to be a good friend, the best you could be. And it still wasn't enough.
Surprisingly, Adam kept his promise and didn't cut you off even once. Instead, he was on his phone the whole time, but with his other hand he played with your hair. He only let out some hums of acknowledgement every now and then, not looking at you at all. It may have seemed like he was disinterested in your problem, but the way his fist clenched around the strands of your hair during certain parts of your story suggested otherwise.
"...and that's the situation." You sigh heavily finishing your rant after a while.
Adam scoffs and puts his phone down.
"Well, what do you want me to say, bitch?" He shrugs. "I mean, yeah, sure sucks to be you I guess, but why the fuck are ya getting so worked up over this?"
"Well, that's because--"
"Honestly, thought you were tougher than that. Thought you were a badass, not a pathetic little cunt--"
"Adam, you promised you wouldn't cut me off." You remind him coldly, lifting your head from his lap and glaring at him.
Adam rolls his eyes.
"Fine, fine, jeez." He tsks. "Sorry, babe."
You stay quiet for a few seconds, searching for the right words. This is tricky, your boyfriend is not the best at dealing with emotions like this. He can't relate because he has a totally different strategy when someone doesn't like him. Heck, most of Heaven doesn't like him, he just doesn't seem to care. He always makes it seem so easy. You envy him in that aspect, you envy his ability to not give a fuck.
"You know what?" You finally say, causing him to raise an eyebrow. "I wouldn't care if this was a first situation like this. I wouldn't give a damn. But the truth is, this happens to me every single motherfucking time I manage to form a meaningful relationship with someone." Despite your best efforts, frustration tears appear in your eyes. "I'm tired of this. Tired of being thrown aside once everyone gets bored of me, tired of always being second-best, of being the spare friend and 'number two'. "
You shake your head and then say quietly:
"I bet sooner or later you're gonna get bored of me and leave too."
Silence falls. You don't dare to look Adam in the eyes as you sit beside him on the couch, but at a slight distance.
You're not looking at him, so you fail to notice the flabbergasted and almost offended look on his face.
"The FUCK!?" Adam suddenly breaks the silence with his angry shout as you look at him confused. "I'm not fucking going anywhere! You're stuck with me babes, whether you like it or not. Also, geez, I know I'm a major jerk but I'm not like those trash you call friends!"
You finally dare to look at him, amazed. He really seems put off by your suggestion. You feel your heart flutter at his words and his statement that he isn't gonna leave no matter what. Despite his many flaws, Adam always has been very loyal and dedicated to you. You feel ashamed that you doubted him. Before you can apologize however, he continues his rant:
"And anyway, fuck them--"
You raise an eyebrow in amusement at his wording. Adam sees your expression and scowls before smirking.
"Look who's dirty minded now, bitch~" He teases you, earning a light slap on the shoulder.
Adam chuckles and you roll your eyes, but with a small smile dancing on your lips.
"Whatever." You say, wanting him to continue.
"I meant like, stop giving a fuck about those fake-ass people, y'know! You fucking rock babe, and if they can't see that, it's their loss. Don't waste your precious time on those who don't deserve it."
Your smile kept growing the longer he kept talking. Of course, his rant didn't magically solve your problem, you were still mad and sad, but less now. Because now you are sure that Adam will always be on your side.
"...you should focus on people who really deserve your time. Like me." Adam finishes with a smug grin as you slap his arm lightly, both of you chuckling.
Then you climb in his lap and hug him by the neck, minding the spikes on his collar, but still pressing your face in the crook between his neck and shoulder. Adam smells of his usual cologne and you can sense a faint scent of ribs, which he must've had for lunch.
"Thank you, honey." You say softly. "I think I needed to hear that."
You can feel the First Man shiver slightly at the sweet nickname. You know that that's his weakness, even though he always tries to act like he doesn't like it.
You wait for him to tease you or try to make this moment sexual like he usually does. You expect Adam to go back to his usual annoying self. But instead, he sighs through his nose and slowly wraps his arms around your back and waist, hugging you tightly and pressing you even more into his soft chest and stomach. He even wraps his beautiful golden wings around you for extra comfort.
"Anytime, sweetie." Adam says softly while caressing your back gently.
Something swells in your chest at the nickname he almost never uses. The only times Adam uses this particular one is when he's mocking you or someone or when he's feeling especially soft and at ease. Even though you two have been dating for quite some time now, you only recall one or two instances of him using "sweetie" as a nickname for you in a soft manner, not counting now of course.
You smile into his neck and raise your head slightly to press a kiss to his cheek.
You both stay silent for a while, just enjoying each other's presence and touch.
"You know" Adam says suddenly, still embracing you. "If you need friends or some shit, I can set up a meeting for you with my girls and Lute. They've been up my ass recently about wanting to 'get to know you' ".
"That's actually not a bad idea." You reply, pressing your cheek against his.
"Yeah, it's a win-win situation, babe." Adam muses, squeezing you momentarily. "You get new friends, and I get some fucking peace from their pestering."
You giggle.
You were scared to talk to him about your problems, knowing how he is. But now you realize that was stupid. Adam is a jerk to everyone but you. He's always been more patient, gentle and soft with you than with anyone else. You feel really ashamed for thinking he wouldn't listen to you and support you in your problems, even if they are trivial to him.
"I'm sorry for not believing that you'd listen to me and my problems." You sigh. "And I'm sorry for saying that you'd leave me and comparing you to my ex-friends."
"Yeah, you should be fucking sorry." Adam grumbles, grabbing you to lean you away from him a bit and then embracing your face with his palms. "You're one of the best things to ever happen to me, truly babe. I love you, you're my bitch and I wouldn't trade you for anyone."
You smile brightly, placing your smaller hands on his bigger ones on your cheeks. Then Adam continues before you can say anything, like he usually does.
"And if I ever hear you doubting yourself like that again, I'll literally fuck these thoughts out of you. I'll fuck you until you start to see yourself as a motherfucking goddess." He threatens with a grin.
You laugh. This time not a giggle or chuckle, but a big, bubbly laugh. You don't fail to notice the soft, fleeting smile which appears on your boyfriend's face at the sound of you laughing, but don't comment on it.
"Don't threaten me with a good time, darling." You tease after you calm down, putting your hands on his cheeks and squeezing them a bit. "I love you too."
Then you lean towards him and carefully place your lips on his in a gentle kiss. And for once, Adam doesn't make the kiss more heated, instead kissing you back just as softly.
For once, you feel completely and utterly loved and appreciated. For once you're someone's number one.
